Odds Ends Sioux Indians Plastic Platoon, We take a look at set three of the Plastic Platoon Sioux Indians. Next, our very good friend Andreas Dittmann shares a Brohm farm from Germany which Marx and Beton items. Finally, we have an update Marx 51 tan tank turret I recently found.

Odds Ends Sioux Indians Set Three

Odds Ends Sioux Indians Plastic Platoon
As mention by Mark Taverna, Plastic Platoon has previewed their set number three of their Sioux Indians.
The poses are as follows:
1. Indian chief with Henry rifle at the waist.
2. Holding a cavalry guidon in his right hand.
3. Chief holding a peace pipe in the left hand has a feather object in the right hand.

4. Indian in buffalo headdress with a tomahawk and shield.
5. Indian woman standing firing pistol
6. Running firing a Winchester.
The most interesting pose is the Sioux Indian woman firing a pistol. This is the first time I have seen an Indian woman with a weapon. Usually, they are doing a non- violent task. The only figure I can think of with a weapon is a Spanish Indian woman with a knife on a horse with travois from Spain.
Another interesting set from Plastic Platoon.

Brohm Farm Set

Our very good friend Andreas Dittmann sent us several photos of the Brohm Farm Playset. What makes this set interesting from Germany is it has copies of Beton and Marx items Most of the animals are Beton. The baby chickens and piglets may be Marx. The fence is a copy of the Marx log fence.
Brohm farm
Another view of the Brohm Farm, Andreas wonder if the house and building are based on another company’s building.
playset box
Here is the playset box. According Andreas BROHM also issued the Ideal crusaders Castles and MPC Indian canoes. He also wonders if there were the farmer and his wife also in the box and the tractor. The shown piece only has animals.

Marx Tan 51 Turret Top Update

Odds Ends Marx Tan 51 Tank Turret
In a previous post, I told about my finding the Marx 51 tan turret. I put it up on Ebay in an auction. Well, I have the result it sold for $90.00! Frankly, I am shocked at the result. I have thought it might go for $25.00 maybe $50.00 not what it got. My turret is actually lower in price than a green turret went on Ebay for $199.00. I am very happy with the result.
One funny thing on the turret, I got a comment from the saddest person in the UK. I might have posted the comment except he used a false name, use foul language, and was sarcastic racist. He thought the post was a waste of time. It wasn’t. The post showed a hard to find an item. Marx 51 tank was only in a few playsets and one blister card that I know of. The tan version was only in the Desert Fox. So it was of interest to share with the readers.
As to the sad man, his attacks on me just make me laugh.

AND THAT WAS WITH SPLIT RINGS AND NO .50 CAL MG! The 51 tanks are holding their own as far as prices, while many other more common items have dropped; even though I can’t set up at shows this year, my Ebay sales have been very strong all year.

To me …The buildings have the typical German toys resemblance structure toy made ,more sturdy plastic pieces made like those of (JH,Kohler,SIMBA ,PLASTIK ,KO-HO)versus typical US and UK or other made more with light walls plastic pieces else .The houses are very modern style generic .Beton had been copied al round .
Simba made two farms ,one is very alike .but i will need see others as well .
