Erwin’s Trip Gift Shop Finds, Our very good friend Erwin Sell recently had to do a trip for training. Also, he got to do some sightseeing with his family. Among the items he found was a Chinese copy of the Marx M26 tank.
Erwin’s Trip Gift Shop Finds

Yet the mold made for it indicates it is not based in Marx toy or even the odd Auburn version but rather an all-new made because details and variation in chassis differ much from Marx’s version.
The tank itself is only included in this playset as far I know.

To my surprise, the set at the museum gift shop was cheaper than those sold off Amazon or Ebay. Yet, the price of $15.00 does not justify the cost for just one tank plus 3 good accessories(Two barricades and one rock ) per playset. It is interesting to denote the Chinese version with alike Marx resemblance of the M26 version but better cannon and scale match with Marx.
Note -M26 tank even so considered a heavy tank was not a very large and big tank compare with others and even smaller than Russian Stalin tanks, Tiger II, and even (T34 tank -in length )and about the same high and length of Sherman tank as well.
I’m wondered if this tank had been sold off in bags smaller sets configuration for less.!?
I will do a photo comparison of Marx and this tank soon.
