Plastic Figure Showcase Collection Time

Plastic Figure Showcase Collection Time, we look at some old and new items in my collection. Next, we look at an old interview that I did with Tom Stark and give some updated information.

Plastic Figure Showcase Items from My Collection

Plastic Figure Showcase Collection Batman
I have been picking up the Spin Master Batman figures since they came out. Every so often I get one or two to treat like when I got a plastic figure as a child. They are sold in a blind box. So far I not gotten any duplicates. The latest two added to my collection are Clayface and Batgirl. As I have mentioned before there will be a second series.
Plastic Figure Showcase Collection Beauty
These figures were purchased years ago and got lost until a recent cleaning. We have enjoyed Beauty and the Beast. Over the years, ee have seen the various versions of the movie that Disney did. We saw the musical twice on Broadway. The Belle in the evening gown could be reused in various periods.
Reisler Mexicans
Being a dealer has helped my collector side. Recently I got a bag of Reisler Mexicans. I was able to break it down to get one of the four different poses. The figures were first issued in 1968 in hard plastic. They were done in soft plastic in tan and in blue. Also, BUM of Spain issued two Reisler Mexicans with two Reisler bandits and a mounted Zorro.
German soldiers
Some times figures will enter into my collection because they are interesting variations. The case in point is these two German soldiers. Both are advancing with automatic weapons. They are of different sizes. I would like to know who did the original.

Update

A collector saw an interview I did with Tom Stark back in 2018. It was posted on the Michigan Toy soldier site. It is a very good article looking at both sides of the hobby as a collector and a dealer. One update on the article, the Marx auction was later than I thought. It was in June 1980, not 1978. This auction had Marx, figures, playsets, and much more. the prices were amazing three playsets for $50.00.there has been an interesting discussion on Facebook about it.

One Response to Plastic Figure Showcase Collection Time

  1. ERWIN SELL says:

Both odd germans are direct copies of Airfix German infantry
First in left base in pose made with not german weapon
The second base in original Airfix ,the advancing with rifle pose just with a different weapon.
