German Summer Plastic Show 2020 First Impressions

German Summer Plastic Show 2020, I have gotten reports in on the show. Having canceled his Spring show due to the virus, Peter decided to do a show outside. Held on July 5, the show had to deal with wind and at times light rain. Still, with these negatives, the show was a success.

German Summer Plastic Show 2020 the show
As I mentioned before the show was outside this year due to the pandemic. According to Markus Lecksheid, they had about seventy tables. The federal-state had various requirements that required space between tables.
German Summer Plastic Show 2020 another look
Markus had done the layout due to the strict regulations himself with the friendly help of our chief technician. All the layout had to be sent to the department of public health plus to the department of public order.
One of the tables
Part of Peter Bergner’s tables at the show. Does anyone need Airfix horses?
figures galore
At this table, we can see a number of Britains mortar teams and Britains zoo animals.
Britains
This table had Starlux Alpine troops and mounties, Reamsa mounted mounties, and Timpo Helm knights. A mounted metal Queen Elizabeth is also in the box. Another interesting item is two teepee piece. It may be by Starlux.
I am not sure
This table is a mix of plastic and metal>In the back of the table are Britains foot mounties and Starlix cowboys and military.
another view of the show
Here we have another look at the show. The dealers brought in their cars and either used tables provided and may have had additional tables. Marcus said the tables were loaded with items and you had to look under the table
Andreas and Detlef
Andreas Dittmann and Detlef Heerbrand looking over a table. I wonder if they got anything from this table.
Mix of loose figures
This is what I like about European shows the junk boxes. The front box is half of Euro ($.60). There are knights and western figures to pick through. we will have more photos from Detlef tomorrow.

OMG i love the last table in left with so many recast European figures never sold here at all in shows .Glad thy made some gain ,yet the lack attendance is a bad sing but spirit is strong …!!

  2. Peter Bergner says:

pics were taken at set up time, we had around 120 people attending, which I think was really good for Corona times, and everybody walked away with bags loaded and a big smile on the face.

  3. peter evans says:

A genuine car boot sale !

  4. Markus says:

At least 7th pic shows the place quite filled under the stay safe and keep distance regulations over here.
Almost all collectors getting in had been thirsty for fresh plastic and happily spend good money that day. All the dealers I talked to said their sales had been far beyond expectation for that day. Especially with rain and wind. Some said they did better than at indoor shows. For sure due to many faces missing and less room for stuff.
Indeed a genuine car boot sale (back to the roots) but with plastic only (maybe 5% or so metal and composition).

  5. Greg Liska says:

It’s heart warming to see the pics and read that it was considered a success, by and large.
