Phantom Comic Strip Figures Flea Market Time

Phantom Comic Strip Figures, we start off with showing two variations of Larami Phantom cards. Next, I will relate my experience at my recent flea market experience.

Phantom Comic Strip Figures by Larami

Phantom Comic Strip Figures card 1
Our very good friend Detlef Heerbrand is a fan of the Phantom comic strip. Created by Lee Falk, the Phantom has been in various media and products since its inception in1936. Larami issued the above card in 1976. They used a copy of the Lone Star Tarzan figure and painted it in the Phantom colors.
Phantom cars two
While I was aware of the first card, I was surprised to learn there was a second card. Instead of using the Lone Star Tarzan, they used a copy of a Spanish company’s figure. The animals in both cards use generic animals. We thank Detlef for letting us share these two cards.

Leesport Flea Market

Phantom Comic Strip Figures Truck
More of my flea markets are opening up after as we end in the green phase of the pandemic. One of those flea markets is Leesport. Its normal day is every Wednesday. They also hold flea markets on the first and third Sundays of the month. I decide to go to the show this Sunday today. I could not go as early as I like because of a commitment to Percy, one of our dogs. Percy is now diabetic and we have to give him insulin twice a day. I am not worried about what missed I look to see what other people missed.
Phantom Comic Strip Figures ESCI
One of the items I found were four boxes of ESCI 1/72 scale. I also got a lot of plastic army vehicles done in West Germany
Phantom Comic Strip Figures Lehman
Another item I picked up was three Lehman train figures which I have done well in the past. I did miss a lot of Marx items for $100.00. I did not feel bad as I got a chance to look at it and was not impressed. Another bonus was to see my very good friend Gerry Watts and we had a nice chat. seeing friends is as important as what I find.
Phantom Comic Strip Figures Julius
One item I picked up was this record by Julius La Rosa. I picked up for two reasons. The first reason was autographed by Julius not once but twice. He signed on a separate card and on the back of the record. The other reason it was only $1,00. I want to see if I could resell it. I like to add odd things to my Ebay store.

  4. Greg Liska says:

I wouldn’t mind seeing a few more pics of that truck! What scale is it? Is is Jean?

  5. ERWIN SELL says:

here 2 of Jean Hoefler the 1/35 to 1/38 scale approx AKA- CTS scale modern armor and as far we know are 5 models only
    https://www.stadsstuff.com/?p=2538

    The battle tank Leopard 1A,
    The anti-aircraft tank Gepard,
    A tracked canon artillery ( like a M-109 bout modern )
A tracked rocket artillery ( like a “Screaming Mimi” but modern )

    • Greg Liska says:

Nothing really ‘reaching me’ there. I really wish CTS would do a M-4 with 76mm gun or a Firefly. I’d also like to see an Italian M-13. since I’m wishing so hard…..Japanese artillery crews, too.

  6. JJ Schebetta says:

Hello all! Just have to agree with Greg here, I’d sure like to see CTS or some other companies put out a 76mm M-4. CTS, BMC, 21st/Ultimate Soldier, and FOV and even MiniChamps all put out the short-barreled medium velocity 75mm M-4. It would seem to be a profitable venture as they could utilize the existing molds for the suspension and the hull, it would be close enough for us. And I know FOV and 21st did the UK Firefly versions. I have been waiting what has it been 2-3 years perhaps for the new FOV ownership planning on giving us a US 76mm M-4. And proposed in several versions. I’m really looking forward to this one. And how great it could be if they put out a new tank crewman or two to go with these new 76mm M-4’s….

  7. ERWIN SELL says:

FOV was taken over by just a remaker and resaler of already made stuff .Also their products are far above most collectors budget as detailed mini replicas of real armor made then costly in production .So to build a platoon you need spend way a lot ..
.21 century was far more affordable but company gone .
Both as well BMC and Airfix recast under CTS are 1/32 to 1/30 so is Sell Toy .
All above brands are in not match at all next to CTS made intentional to blend with former under scale Marx/Lido else old armor toys in the 1/38 or smaller scale .

Producing then in steel mold for long run production is extremely costly per vehicle and the hobby population do not support it ,that is why CTS and many others stop making then .
3D is the new future x this ,I had work on it and will do post soon with production of then and my examples 3D in clear view photos next to model kits,CTS and other brands TOYS …
3D are done in all scales ,economic value give you a descent toy-models with mild defect ,pay more and can get better clean finish product .Use top notch tech printing and can get almost a model replica kit on hand .Depending in your ambition, desire and view perception of what you collect you can get as many armor ,vehicles ever used as you can or like by either using makers using massive multiple printing system with cleaning tooling and 3d file formats system programs or try yourself that require far much work and learning .

i will show then soon ..
