Jordan Hembrough is in Los Angeles to buy toys for Comic Con in Seattle. Jordan has a budget of $10,000.00 for new toys. As Jordan pulls up to a contact Steve, he finds that his friend and fellow dealer Mark Huckabone has already there. Mark has gotten a rare Mego Star Trek Playset which Mark has only seen a couple of this set. Before Mark leaves he says that dread phrase “You snooze you lose.” This comment annoys Jordan. Jordan goes into Steve’s house. He looks at Magnum PI car, but Steve does not want to sell it. Checking EBay one out of the box is at $210.00 another mint in the box is $495.00. Jordan is able to buy a Over the Top Set for $45.00 which Jordan plans to sell for $100.00. He also buys Spawn cards for $75.00 which he plans to sell for $150.00. Steve has a Mego American Hero Convertible Bug, but Steve will not sell. This would have been a great piece for Jordan as the Greatest American Hero toys are hard to come by.
Frustrated Jordan leaves Steve and goes to Victor’s. The first item Jordan finds is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Donatello which Jordan values at $300.00. Jordan buys a Jurassic Park young Tyrannosaur which he values at $175.00 On EBay there two in the same condition for $124.95. Next Jordan finds two Don Post Star Trek Masks including Salt Vampire. Jordan pays $300.00 for the two masks which he feels he can sell for $600.00. Checking EBay there are no posted, but past experience I feel the prices are on the mark.
Jordan gets a call from Jose who was a designer for LJN. He designed many of the items that were part of the Thunder Cats Line.
