Gary Tangeman got these figures. Gary stated they were originally Hessians, but he painted them as British to use in Braddock’s Defeat. He wonders who made these figures. Do you know who made them?

My big purchase for me at Macungie was $.25 for these three figures. I just the one on the left recently but do not remember if I got the middle figure. The farm figure is holding a dog. I would like to know what farm set he was from.

    Hi,
Hessian ; perhaps HäT – 7 Years War – Prussian

  2. ERWIN F SELL says:

They are not hessian but prussian by HAT .

  3. TheGrenadier says:

I believe there is an Ebay seller that makes firing springs for both the original and reissue Marx Alamo cannons (and other spring operated Marx artillery) if you wish to make them suitable for field operation again.

  4. Peter Evans says:

The Farm figures are by NEW RAY – China
The Shepherd came in the larger box set.
The man in the cap came with the tractors

    • admin says:

I had a feeling they were from a farm set. I used to see New Ray when I went to Farmers markets, but have not seen any of their lines in a while

  5. Alex Baldwin says:

Pascal and Erwin are right. They are HaT 7 Years War Prussians. They appear to be the more recent recast of these figures (done in Dark Blue). The original run was done in a lighter blue like a lot of the more recent HaT Napoleonic French sets were cast in.

  6. Wayne W says:

They are HaT 7YW Prussians. I currently use them as ARW Hessian troops as the uniforms are similar.

  7. Wayne W says:

I should note also that as soon as HaT comes out with their 1/32 7YW Austrians I’ll be able to put them back to their original purpose.
