Plastic Figure Collection Additions 2018

Plastic Figure Collection Additions 2018 it is interesting what I find in a year. Unlike many collectors I do not go after particular playset or figures.  I go for items that I see in front of me that I want to add to for various reasons. As major wants I have none. Oh I would like a Marx Johnny Ringo but not at the prices it be asked. Besides with that money I can get more figures. So here is some highlights from this year.

Plastic Figure Collection Additions 2018 Marx

Plastic Figure Collection Additions 2018
I got two Marx items this year for the collection. The first was these 60 MM cowboy reissues. As reported by Kent Sprecher the mold was made but not used. I picked them up after a good day at York Toy Show

The other Marx figure I got this year was the doll house father sitting smoking the pipe. I had seen the figure on Kent’s sale page. Late in December going through a two dollar bin I found the figure.

Plastic Figure Collection Additions 2018 Plastic Warrior Show

Plastic Warrior Show is always a dilemma for me. I only have a limited amount of money which has to be divided between resale items and collections. This show has so much for both it gets hard. I did get this great western pose.

Another figure I found was this Clairet Sheriff ‘s wife. I was going to sell but like the figure so I kept it.

This set I got for Laurie at PW as loves the Beatles. He is missing his drums.

I got this figure from Peter Bergner at the show It is out of scale from most of my figures I just liked the pose.
 Plastic Figure Collection Additions 2018
This is a Cherilea Swoppet British soldier. Prior to getting him I had only the western and knights. I will be looking for more in the future.

I hope you like this look back. I have other figures I enjoyed from this year that I can show you again.

that swoppet figure seems almost too nice for cherilea. you can even tell he’s carrying a sterling L2A3 SMG.

  2. ERWIN F SELL says:

The swappet Cherilea i have from cherilea are 70 mm ,the one grey made x germans with mix modern weapons and that uniform show in the one above with rare RPG weapon in 6 poses green and the british not as above as they carry more alike late WW2 british uniform shirt inside with strap gear with silver/grey helmet ,not same gear as figure above ,also mine have alike TM light submachine gun and Rifles that may then look more WW2 in close appearance .
All blend with 3 er series 75 mm Nardi series set and elastolin perfect
I had seen the blue helmet and these with longer shirt above pant uniform but pass as they are more generic .
Could any one set figures come first ?
    The difference in uniform -why?
    Best

thanks x cowboys Paul ,now i got then .
    best

  4. The Marx Imagination Doll house seated family figures (Father, Mother & Daughter) used to sell for $35 each and I sold them as quickly as I could find them. Thanks to a warehouse find I got a nice supply but demand has plummeted and I sell them for $10 each or a set of all three for $25. Both the father and mother are smoking which is something no doll house maker today would have figures doing. The price drop parallels what I have seen in vintage plastic figures in general this past year especially with many figures made in the 1950s as collectors are aging out of the hobby. I am carrying more of the lower priced new figures being made as new collectors are not that passionate about the old Marx/Ideal/Auburn/Lido. A wave of collectors who were kids in the 1970s has breathed new life into Marx WWII and Heritage playsets. Years ago I included maybe 6 or 7 light gray Marx Germans in an order free and the guy called called me up and told me not to put crap like that in any future orders. Now the light gray Germans are as popular if not more so than the dark gray Germans.

    • Wayne Wood says:

Talk about ingratitude; whether the guy liked or wanted the figures or not what happened to the thought counting?

      • Don Perkins says:

Yes, such a response to a dealer/fellow-collector’s thoughtfulness seems incredibly ungraciousness.

        • ERWIN F SELL says:

There a lot nut jerks out there and this hobby is not exempt of them
I had experience some in my mail orders sales .Also some people under medication can get off control in character and else.Unfortunately nothing we can do
I cancel block a such person once this happen to avoid incidents in future.
          If sale off ebay
Ebay/paypal protect too much buyers versus us sellers.
Some abuse it to open fake or exaggerated cases and get money back ,refund for simple things could had been done more sivilized .
          My thoughts
