YMCA Summer Camp Soap looking for Marx Reissue French I found two interesting items. They were items that had been in the old house and shipped here our present location. I though they were gone.

This box with the soap is over 40 years ago.

YMCA Summer Camp Soap the Story

As I mention in the caption the soap is 40 plus years old. My parents bought a case of of it on a trip to New York City. We would go to New York several times. Back hen we would take the New Jersey Central train. New Jersey Central did not have rights to go into New York City. It would stop on the New Jersey side and you take a ferry boat to New York. We would then spend the day doing various things. Part of the day was mine and we would do a museum or a zoo. Many times we had time left over and found a closeout auction. The one time they were selling a case of YMCA soap, which we bought and took it home.

We used some of it and for some reason my mother did not like it so the rest was put into the attic. When we move out I took it along the soap to sell on Ebay.

The box has four bars.

I have been back to to station where the New Jersey train stopped. The building is a historical monument. It is part of Liberty State Park. The tracks are gone. I found that track five was where our train went in. It was called Queen of the Valley. (My area is called Lehigh Valley.)

The soap will go on Ebay.
