Marx 45mm Indian riding Pony

028

When Marx did their demonstrator board for stores to show the playsets, they had a problem, how to put mounted figures on the board.  The horses did not have a base like most foot figures so the people working on the boards had to come up with a solution. What they did was add a base to the horse and then they could staple the mounted figure and horse to the board.  This variation of the figure is harder to find and  only occasionally show up.

Interesting side note, that is only of two Marx Indian poses firing a rifle.

In fact it is one unique pose very nice and smart choose as Indians attack passing by firing to fort ramparts in that way to harass. Few others companies had done any close or similar.I had wish they did it in 54-60 mm scale too

CTS did an Indian Figure firing around and under the horses head with a pistol that was very unique.
