Prikaz Medieval Sets Russian Prince Court Viking Life are from another Russian company. Andrey Buslov has sent us photos of these two new sets from this new company from us. The first one is Russian Prince Medieval court. The second set is Viking Life.

The Russian Prince Court has five different figures.
The poses are as follows.
1 Voivode (Old Slavic, literally “war-leader” or “war-lord”)
2 Merchant with furs
3 Money changer
4 Klyuchnica (Old Slavic, literally “woman-intendant”)
5 Town Sentry with axe

The set represents the legendary Danish Viking hero and ruler Ragnar Lodbrok “Ragnar shaggy breeches”
The set has five figures. In the above photo we have the ruler Ragnar Lodbrok and a Danish woman with a horn. I figure it would be filled with drink.
Next we have a Viking Earl. He is equipped with sword and round shield. The final piece is a two figure set. It is a Viking carrying a Saxon woman prisoner. The Viking has the woman on her left shoulder while holding a sword in his right hand.

Andrey feels the figures are lower quality than Publius and Plastic Platoon. The sculpting is very good. The figures are charismatic.
I like many of the poses especially the Vikings. The figures are not cheap. Each set of five figures is $54.90 plus postage. Andrey is selling them here and here
Very nice head sculpt of Ragnar Lothbrok. Too bad the body is not in an action pose. I think Conte did a Viking carrying off a Saxon woman in metal.
The figures have the EB style design sculpture deetail not PLastic platoon of course ,yet very well done but i doubt such price and not action set would sale good at such price in any quantities.Even so they have a very array uses period i will skip then in my collection .

Not bad looking figures, Would look Great in various scenes and dioramas, But for me they are to pricey so i will skip them also.
Agree with you Darren .Still interesting as how proliferative Russian and Ukrainian plus en other small east europe/asia countries are making figures so often ,yet i think their price tradition by some of them had become a very expensive like off most buyers and they should consider better low production ideas to sale cheaper .

Yes Erwin there are many really nice figures coming out of Russia and Ukraine and some are reasonably priced but others like Publius are just too expensive for me and many others. A little while ago me and a few others suggested that if Publius sold there figures seperately at a reasonable price they might sell better, But they have put some seperately but want at least £1o each plus postage, So that’s about £15 for 1 figure, Way to much.
Yes they dont sale that price if produced costly ,first they may need find way to produce cheap with lower cost in order to sale at lower price.Wherever those maker seling high do to produce cost then a lot as far i been directly informed and it excuses their high price .Still i understand is limited x limited select collectors who are willing spend money in them.
We will have to see but as far they can sale at that price they won’t bother lower or try produce cheap .So i guess it is choice for many us to skip or pick.

Thanks Paul for bring these to my attention. I also purchased a set of each. If it was another subject I probably would have passed. But the Dark Ages is one on my favorite periods and these figures will look good with a project that I am working on.
That is one of the purpose of this site. That is share the wide range of figures out there both old and new.
