Russian New Figure News Update New Figures Andrey has sent us information on two figure groups. First we have an update on the Spartacus Uprising set. This is a group of flat figures we spotlighted before. Then No Name has come out with two more mounted figures. What is nice Andrey has done comprasion poses as well.

A few months we spotlighted these figures. The set was ten figures with five different semi-flat Romans and five semi-flat gladiators. Andrey has informed my that name of the company is Italmas, which is a new company.
The figures go between 50 and 54mm. The figures are available in various colors. Andrey feels that the company was doing an Gladiators in an Arena. At some point they decided to do a Spartacus Uprising the Last Battle.
Andrey has done some comparsion of Italmas figures with other companies. Here we have Italeri with a Italmas.
Here we have a Marx 54mm Ben Hur Roman with a Italmas gladiator.

No Name has done two new mounted knight. the first one is a Renaissance Knight.
The mounted Renaissance knight has sword and a small shield
The knight is plug in base type to hold it on the horse.

The other mounted knight is a Crusader/Teutonic Knight.
The Teutonic mounted knight can be done two ways. You can either do the figure with sword and shield or lance and shield.
Like the Renaissance Knight the Teutonic knight is a plug in type.
This time we have for comparsion of Italeri mounted Mongol withthe No Name Teutonic knight.
The other comparsion is a Marx 60mm mounted knight with No Name Teutonic knight
The figures are availbe from andrey on his site or if he has not he will soon have them on Ebay.
Interesting they choose curved swords x gladiators and modern dress disco dress for woman archer.I can use the late 1 empire Roman legionaries x battles .Again honed helmet x Teutonic .

Very nice sculpts. I really hope they do some nice, unusual Western cowboy poses soon.
Nice looking figures, I really like some of the poses but some are a bit boring. Its a shame they are flat figures as I dont collect them. The only semi-flat figures I ever brought was some Chinese Warriors a couple of years ago. So I will probably give these a miss. Hopefully they might make some full figures in the future?

They have so much semi-flat models, what next sets should be semi-flat too.
Interesting looks like the old URSS era toy figures tradition is taking back production again .I guess i need to start on these 2D now soon.Again the romans are nice.I don’t like too much the gladiators,looks too modern ,specially Xena warrior fantasy with modern dress .

All I can say is the Teutonic Knight makes me laugh, they should have thought of a better way to connect him to the horse.
Well I had see worst w horse having stack .really I don’t understand why so dificult make hust w out it as most do.
This company anoyne w one pose release every two month.
So I had then as last buy x now.

That one Roman has violated the rules of combat, never take your eyes off of your opponent. I wouldn’t think burying your head in your shield would be too effective, then again maybe your right hand man will save your bacon.
