Here is Erwin’s comments on this unusual figure.
Mike Mulling nail it. I was close first one saw figure, then retract a bit as not positive. Considering the Spanish figures usually made revolver barrel not that much detailed. The pose as well a mounted rifle shooters were last two mounted figures made by Reamsa together with 6 foot.
The two mounted with two revolver and rifle are revised poses of very earl yfirst set western cowboy made by Reamsa in 1963. They are pose 4 and 5 exactly by mold numerical records.
Below you will see poses early in more crude detail and later poses.
Noticed the later two revolver poses differentiate mainly in pose by looking to his right and of course more deep detail.
Both old and new poses could be found in REAMSA book by Ermina and Reamsa factory catalogs.
Early poses were made in rubber material, when change over to plastic all molds figures were complete redone in new molds specifically for plastic production. Most figures did not change pose but were better detailed while few were revised.
Both the original rubbber and the revised cowboy figures were done by two different Spanish Artists. The British sculptor George Erik did some U.S. cavalry and other sets for Reamsa.
