Another Look at The Warhansa Gladiator Figures

Another Look at The Warhansa Gladiator Figures Andrey from Russia has sent some photos  to show the figures better. He has also done figure comparsions. This shows the figure compared to Marx, Charbens and Jescan or Remasa figures.  This is always a question will my figures  work with another company.  Warhansa is  a company in Russia that had been doing figures in 28mm. There first 1/32 scale figures were Western followed by some Fantasy figures

Next a Trainer with a stick or staff. I like this figure as it is pose never done before.  Also the figure could be used a spectator of the games and other scenarios.

The third pose is a gladiator on ground. He is pointing with right perhaps asking for mercy.

The above two photos show closeups of two of the four gladiators. Wahansa does very good detail. The gladiators’ weapons are not oversized like Warhansa western figures.

Another Look at The Warhansa Gladiator Figures

We start off the comparsion of other companies’ figures to Warhansa glaiators with a Marx Ben Hur Roman. The Marx 54mm Ben Hur Romans would be what most U.S. collectors would have.  As you can see the Warhansa trainer matches well with the Marx Roman Herald.

Next we have eiither a 60mm jescan or Reamsa Roman taking on the Warhansa gladiator with spear and net. As you can set the figures mess well.

Finally we have the Warhansa Glasiator with sword and shield taking on Charbens Roman. Once again we can see how these figure work well with each other.  I like when you use other companies in your stories or set ups.

Nice figures and A welcome addition to Ancient Toy Soldiers, And they do seem to go really well with other makes of Ancient figures which I do have in the photos. Thanks for the comparison photos which I think are important, Because as ive mentioned before im not keen on some of these new 65mm figures that have been coming out. I will be buying these sometime soon.
I look to seeing what this company comes out with next, Especially Fantasy and Ancient figures.

And once more Russia and Ukraine are in the lead making figures in short production and general in hobby.Only surpased by EXF .
    Best…

  5. Darren Hatley says:

Yes I agree Erwin the poses are not bad but I must admit a lot of poses these days ive noticed are either Very boring or just adequate which is one reason why I do so much converting to make figures more Dynamic. Im really happy with most of the figures coming out of Eastern Europe but I wish they would make more of there figures as Exciting as possible, Just a small moan from me about that.
By the way what sort of plastic are these Warhansa figures made from? In case I want to slightly convert them. Are they Hard, Middling or very soft or rubber type plastic? Anyone know out of interest.

  6. Darren Hatley says:

Hi thanks for the info, The bad news is that this kind of plastic ive found is not good for glue-ing, And probably only Super-Glue might work with it. However the Good news is that I really like these figures and so I wouldn’t do much converting on them anyway, So it shouldn’t be a problem with these figures.

  7. Greg Liska says:

These are really well done! I like the authenticity, I like the credible poses. This was well thought out and executed. I’ll be looking for them.

  8. Mark T. says:

A new Warhansa figure is now out: Looks like a post-apocalyptic character.
