Take Them

Take them Our very good friend is back with a new conversion and a offer.

To all Garrison Commanders –   The Legion’s hospital is prepared to release 4 men for further service to France. They have been pronounced fit for duty and I do not wish to keep them malingering around here. The 2 cavalrymen come with their mounts. First come, first served. Speak up, Monsieurs.
Seriously, these were given to me, but are too big for my FFL unit. I’ve repaired them and am willing to give them away. Not my finest work, but I did well with what I had to make them useable.
take then

I’m serious. Anybody need them? The price is right. I guess we know which side they are on. They can’t be Vichy French because I’m giving them away….that would make them Free French! Oh….I know, bad joke. Sorry.

    Greg,

Speaking of FFL, I picked up some re-cast Timpo FFL and Arabs at the show over the weekend, The FFL are in a deep blue and the Arabs are white if your interested, 4 FFl 6 Arabs.

The reason most of the Marx WWII Reissue French is because of me as I ordered them in that color at Mexico Toy Fair and shipped them in. Prior to that they were in a dark green. Don Ducotte got them run in a blue.

I consider the grey x those who do not paint a better choice because could be used for WW1 Belgians and WW2 Belgian ,plus free French armies too. Also some units of the Regular 1939/40 French army used grey. So is more generic than blue. Only used in most by French 1916/1940 army only

I got mine in a sealed bag in a lot that contained Excalibur Hobby figures, I don’t think the French had the Excalibur header card in it, but it may have , I opened them at one time. They are in a nice soft plastic not like some of the other others I got in the same lot, the GI’s were horribly brittle as were the Russians.
