UK Toy Fair

We have heard from our very good friend Peter Evans, who attended the recent UK Toy Fair for new toys. Peter files the following report

Worlds Apart were not there so I could not find out about Horrible Histories.

There was nothing new from Pocket Bond and I was informed that they are not doing any Timpo, only selling off what stock they have left, same with the Heroics range. The only Timpo set that is selling well is aimed at the Tourist market are the Guardsmen.

Airfix are doing 40mm RAF ground crew and reissuing the 1/32 scale soft plastic cannon and Crusader tank

Revell are doing 1/35th WW1 British, German and French but they are kit form and like the Ehmar sets.

Yet more Fantasy figures from Papo and Schielch, but Schielch are doing some nice Justice League figures to tie in with the film.

(Ed. Note: You can see some of the Schleich Justice League Figures at this EBay offering. )

Saw 54mm ‘Walking Dead’ figures in counter single blind bags – these would fit in with modern army and civilians

Once again the new offerings do not seem exciting we will have what comes out of New York.

So is the Airfix soft plastic Crusader tank and cannon like the Bedford truck,German 1/2 Track, etc or are they models?

  2. Christian Aldo says:

AIRFIX is re-releasing the 1:32 Crusader Tank and 17 Pounder “KITS”.

Airfix are kits/Glue model. The crusader tank is same released many years ago as kit too , just being reissues and most airfix kits in 1.32 scale not 1.35.More better and fast to put together as they are step/level 2 than Tamiya or Italeri Kits. Fragile as any kit once done.
