August 2025 Trying to Catch Up

August 2025 Trying to Catch Up, I have a number of items that have been on the back burner. first, I have some 3D Figures from Martin of Germany to share. Second, I have some new Russian figures to make you aware of. An update on Ella Mai is also on the dockets.

August 2025 Trying to Share Some 3DFigures

August 2025 Trying to Martin

One of the things people may have missed at the Plastic Warrior Show is Martin Dehnhardt’s 3D figures. This was because he was with John Begg.

August 2025 Trying to Timpo cavalry

Martin is centering his 3D work around Timpo figures. One figure he did was the Timpo foot swoppet cavalry with rifle at waist.

August 2025 Trying to mounted rider

Martin is doing Timpo swoppet parts like Mexican hats, which I passed on. What I did get from Martin was one of his mounted cowboy riders. I like it as the figure as it was wearing a duster that you don’t see on western figures. The upper body is done 3D while the rest is Timpo original pieces. I can’t wait too see what he does next.

New Russian Figures

Plastic Platoon 82nd

The Russian makers keep putting items. Plastic Platoon has a number of new sets including American 82nd Airborne.

August 2025 Trying to russian Marines

A new company for me Vyzov has done Russian Marines.

August 2025 Trying to Vikings

Hobby Bunker ( no relation to U.S. Hobby Bunker) has done Vikings

Most Studios Western

Finally a company called Most-Studio is doing a a number western sets. I believe these figures are in resin. As always, I am showing these figures for reference only, as your country may have restrictions of purchasing them due to the Urkaine war.

Gettysburg Toy Soldier Show August 24

I will be at the Gettysburg Toy Soldier Show as usual roaming around. I will be based at War Horse Miniatures, when I am not searching for items.

  7. Lynn J Graves says:

I have purchased a number of the MOST western poses. They best of all time!

  8. Lynn J Graves says:

They are the best of all time!

  9. TD Barnecut says:

The only issue I might have with the MOST figures is that they are rather static poses. Although they’re described as resin, they really look like computer designed 3D printed poses. I suppose that would be resin, too.

    • TD Barnecut says:

The MOST figures are very modern day Hollywood in appearance when compared to 19th century photos of actual cowboys.
You can see on TV channels like GRIT a wide range of Hollywood produced Westerns going back about 90 years. Cowboys in the 1930’s and ’40’s films have a ‘big hats & chaps’ look which changes in the 50’s and 60’s to a more generic look of smaller hats and no chaps, etc. The MOST figures seem to be based on the most recent Hollywood efforts with ‘big hats & dusters’.

  10. LYNN J GRAVES says:

My Most figures to date are a soft rubber. I agree that some of the most recent poses are a bit static and I have passed on them.

  11. As previously mentioned, the Most western figure are very attractive, but it’s counter-intuitive to have gunfighters in anything other than action poses…a missed opportunity, I think.
