Part One 2025 Plastic Warrior Show

Part One 2025 Plastic Warrior Show, what a wild weekend for me. It was time for seeing old friends and finding items for the collection and resale. I picked up some interesting items including a rare plastic knight for my collection.

Part One 2025 Plastic Heathrow

My trip started off with a major delay. The plane was having a mechanical issue, they thought they had it resolved and as we starting to takeoff it popped up again. So, they moved us to a new plane and a new crew. The delay was six hours before we got out of Newark. The rest of the flight was not bad and I got some sleep.

Waiting for me at the airport, were my friends Michael Smith and Charlie Barnett. They took me to my hotel and let me get some rest. I had gone back to Miiro Templeton Garden formerly the George. I had used two other hotels past two times I had been in London with mixed feelings. This hotel in Earls Court I like for many reasons including it is close to many eating establishments.

After a rest, I went out to an Indian restaurant, Laurie and I had gone to over the years. After get some food items, I went back to get ready for the next day. The next day, I did Covent Garden and Forbidden Planet, while I enjoyed them it was not the same not having to have someone to share it. I did enjoy a meal of fish and chips at Prince of Tech a pub near my hotel. I spent the rest of the day getting ready for the show.

The next day, Charlie picked me up and then Michael. From Michael’s place, we went to the Winning Post where the show was held. Waiting for the doors to opened were other dealers. Amongst the crowd were a number of friends who I shared some gifts aand recieved in return. Sadly, two of my German friends were not there. Peter Bergner was recoveruing from surgery, and Detlef Heerbrand had to work. The doors were opened and dealers awent to set up their stands.

Part One 2025 Plastic Replicants ECW

Peter Cole of Replicants outdid himself this year with four sets of English Civil War mounted figures. Each set of ECW has two different riders.

Peter also did a 40th Anniversary figure for PW. These will be available from Steve Weston in the near future. Once I picked them up, I began my hunt what would I find? The answer is many surprises which you will see in part two.

Hello Paul is the 40th anniversary figure a resistance fighter with a Morse code machine. We was unlucky with the Replicant mounted civil war figures as they was all sold out by the time we got to Peter Cole. So we will wait and get them off Steve Weston. We missed Peter Bergner at the show as we wanted some Mars ww2 figures from him. We had a good laugh with Matt Murphy from hobbybunker. Hopefully we will meet up with you Paul and Peter at the next Plastic Warrior show.

      James,
I am glad you had a good show. I preordered the Replicants and it is one of my first stops at the show. I do not know what the new PW Anniversary figure represents. I will have to check. Matt was pleased with his sales and said the people were more friendly than the London Show. I was down from Matt based at Michael Mordaunt Smith’s table. I had a black suitcase at his table to fill up with my finds. It was a great show. We will meet up at the next year.

PW 40th Anniversary figure. Peter Cole’s father, and Roy Selwyn-Smith of Herald were both Merchant Navy radio/wireless operators in WW2. This is Peter’s tribute to both of them.
