Part Two Odds Ends More Finds Questions Some Surprises

Part Two Odds Ends Nardi
One of the surprises of my recent purchases was these two Nardi figures. My source had found them in a junk lot he had purchased. He figured that the previous party had bought a lot and pulled out what he thought was good leaving the Nardi figures. the figures are a swoppet type.

The junk lot had two more figures. The figure on left is a copy of the Airfix cowboy. It is hard plastic and very likely a cake decoration. The train engineer is also 54mm and hard plastic. I have no idea who made him.

Spin Master Capsule Batman Figures

Part Two Odds Ends Batman
I added two more Spin Master Batman figures to the collection. The figure on the left is Batman in orange. Why I don’t know? I hope they do not do like one company did a hundred action figures of Batman. The figure on the right is Nightwing.

Greg Liska’s Confederate Want

Part Two Odds Ends Timpo confederate
Greg Liska had a question. I bought recast Timpo ACW figures a while ago. There was only one mounted figure available. This pose did not look like the 3 I have been told were the Timpo mounted ACW poses, which were copied and used in Ideal’s Ft. Cheyenne. Just a few weeks ago, I got an eBay lot that contained 2 of the 3 poses that I had understood was the Timpo mounted poses. They were apparently factory-painted. There were both blue and grey of these 2 poses. Does the third pose exist (mounted, pistol and sword, head turned towards the pistol)?  Was this ‘recast’ pose ever released or is this a mold reworking or some other variant?

Here are the two poses that Greg has. You can see the other figures here.

  1. ERWIN SELL says:

I think ACW Timpo solid mounted are 3 or 4 poses ,two with revolver and saber ,other two with out ,painted used as union and/or confederated ,out of the two with revolver ,one is pointing firing it to his left if I’m not mistaken .Above pose of Union with revolver looks as same in left pose with head swapped!?.Not positive if all poses were recast .But I may be wrong .

  2. Greg Liska says:

Paul had sent me that exact source. All 4 poses were released in both colors. Now I need that pistol firing guy in blue and grey. As to them being recast, I only ever saw that one pose.

    • ERWIN SELL says:

Least two of poses been recast as far I seen around often
I never intersted on Timpo solid.
      No my like
      Good luck

  3. Greg Liska says:

Can you locate pics of which 2 poses? I know about the sword up, hand up pose (my least liked pose).

    • ERWIN SELL says:

I think are confederate poses vintage in lower photo on left side are the one I recall been recast .I don’t know about other .I seen often off ebay list in lots of Timpo .I know for sure the confederate with raised saber above head level looking straight forward was recast sold under action figures blister pack along the 4 infantry pose in 80s .But I had seen other poses too.
