The last toy soldier show of the year was held in Columbus Ohio. Mike Prendergast was kind enough to share some of the photos he took. He also posted a report upon his website Warhorse Miniatures.

Rick Eber’s tables are a go-to place for someone looking for Marx items.

One spot on Rick’s table. I like the foam piece, which is not Marx. Do you know who made it? Another interesting item is Marx Quonset hut. The one I have in my collection does not have an antenna. Was this in the IGY playset?

here are two of the Marx civilian playsets firehouse and skyscraper. Both are interesting playsets. The skyscraper playset is rumored to been planned for a Superman playset. It is the largest of the tin-litho buildings.
In the foreground are various Marx bags. The WWII German figure bag was how I got my Germans as a child. I remember walking into Woolworth’s and seeing the bag I took my allowance money and bought it. I

Scott Canady

Canady figures
According to Mike, Scott Canady another collector was selling items from his collection. Here Scott is selling various 1/32 scale boxes of Airfix.
Playsets
Scott had several playsets for sale.
Barzso playset
One of the major items that Scott was selling was Barzso Collectible Fess Parker Boonesborough Fort. This playset is up for bid right now for auction. on Ebay

Other Dealers

Figures Curtis
Another dealer Curtis had a nice mix of figures from various companies. The table had Elastolin and timpo among others.
Kellar figures
Rick Kellar had a large load of plastic figures and playsets. Here some of his bins of plastic figures.

    The foam piece was sold by Classic Toy Soldiers. It’s a fantastic piece with a door (which doesn’t open) built into the reverse side, along with steps.

    The quonset hut with radar is not from IGY. I believe it’s from Marx’ DEW set.
