July Two Odds Ends Beton Circus

July Two Odds Ends Beton circus
Beton Circus figures were first offered around 1955. There are four different figures. They are a clown arms raised, lion tamer, lady performer. and a male performer. The one I am showing here is the clown. This is a second version as the first version was hard plastic painted. Beton went over to unpainted to fight competition from Japan.
I acquired this figure years ago when I went to a flea market in New Jersey. My uncle had been in an accident in Hazelton PA which is north of us. I had taken my mother up shortly after it happens to be with my aunt and then went up days later. A buddy went along, for some reason we went east to the flea market in New Jersey. At the flea market, they had an auction. The auction was selling stock from Beton. I bought all I could and then we headed to see my uncle. It was an interesting experience.

BMC Army Women Kickstarter Update.

Rahway has informed me that Jeff Imel has done an update on his army women project. Jeff stated the tooling is moving along and showed the female bazooka figure. I can’t wait to see the final product.

A Couple of Links

The first link is a to a short history on Transogram.

Next, we have an interesting book on Hopalong Cassidy. This book was done in conjunction with Grace Bradley Boyd, William Boyd’s widow. It is an interesting book about how Grace dreaming to be his wife and ended up having her dream coming through

Finally, we have a history on the game You Sunk my Battleship.

Hear We Go Again

This must the 50th or 55th attack from the saddest man in the UK. He is trying to get me upset with his silly stupid comments and attacks. Instead, I just shake my head and laugh. He is not worth my time as I have other things to do. Enough said this matter.
