It is interesting how many figures were copied in China and Hong Kong. Not only did they just copied the figures they made changes. In our latest outing, Erwin Sell has shared a hard to find Airfix Japanese copy in Attack Force.
Airfix Copies Swoppet Figures officer
Here is a closeup of the Japanese officer. The company made six different poses in a swoppet style of the bottom separate at the waist. This swoppet style allows you to make different poses.
M 20 Car
The set contains an M20 armored car. The armored car maybe a copy of the armored car that was in the Matchbox 1/32 scale Counterattack set.
Hong Kong Japanese
You can see one of the other poses Airfix Japanese copy the Japanese standing firing rifle. The pillbox is a copy but I do not who.

Lollipop Figures

Airfix Copies Swoppet Figures Lollipop
In a recent post, we show a lollipop figure from Detlef Heerbrand. Markus Lecksheid decided to share the one he has. Over in Europe, a lollipop would be inserted inside a plastic holder. The holder was made into a figure. The figure was a copy of another company.
Lollilop figures
In the previous photo, most of the figures are copies of Britains and Crescent. The two figures in this photo are copies of a French company. The third item is an anti-tank obstacle. I wonder how were handed a lollipop with this item. Interestingly, Markus told me he would like to have more of them.
Western lollipops
Westerns were very popular with Europeans. The two cowboys are copies of Britains.
Lollipop Indians
Some more western figures, The cavalry figure on the right is similar to the bugler that we showed from Detlef. these can be an interesting area to collect.

Some neat figures. I’m not usually a fan of swoppets, but whoever did the Airfix Japanese copies did a fairly good job with them.

A few years back figures comparable to Timmee modern GIs and the current Toy Story bucket troops had several poses to hold lollipops. I remember a bazooka figure, and I think there was/were one or more poses. They are somewhere in the collection. I bought them at Toys R Us and gave the suckers to my sons.
