Ed Borris sent a new photo of John Stengel figure he has done. This time Ed shows the figure painted. As you can see that is a great figure. The painted figure will be given to John Jr at the Chicago show in September. Ed will also be selling unpainted figures of John at the show.

Greg Liska’s Conversions

June Plastic Figure Roundup Awesome Kids
Greg Liska is back with some more of his great conversions. This time he took the Awesome Kids figures of Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis figures and converted them into something else. His first conversion is changing Lincoln and Davis into surgeon for his civil war scenes.

Another look of the Surgeon version of Davis and Lincoln, a really nice idea.
June Plastic Figure Roundup Militia men
Greg used the Lincoln and Davis figures to be Confederate Militia He would like to get more of the figures so he can do more militia figures.

Mounted Rider
Greg had put out a request recently looking for the Marx 60mm Union with the guidon. The figure did not have to have the guidon. I had gotten one of the figures he needed in a junk lot missing the guidon. I shipped the figure on to Greg. Surprisedly, the head was brittle. The rest of the figure was fine and he made him a bugler with a new head. Greg said this  He ended up a bugler in a Mounted troop wearing Hardee hats (dress hat model of 1859) that was made popular by the Iron Brigade but loved by just about no one else. It still was used, especially where nothing else was available.
More mounted figures
Here we have more mounted figures that Greg has done. Greg using the Awesome Kids Civil War Playset.
The original playset came with 8 mounted figures which Greg is converting
