Publius New Medieval Figures Maxim from Russia has send me photos of their new figures. There are a full set of six figures and two individual figures

German Knights of the Manesa Code
The set of figures from Publius is listed as the German Knights Menninger or Mansea code. These knights were a Teutonic order. The Teutonic knights operate in Poland and Germany.
As mention before there six different figures in the set. They are as follows
- Knight with mace and shield notice the unusual head piece for the helmet.
- Standing with lance or standard with shield
- Right leg up with ax and shield
- Bending forward sword and shield down helmet is like ancient Greek helmet
- Mace back shield up advancing left foot on a rock
- Ax Back getting ready to strike. Left foot on rock
I am just struck by the detail of these figures.

Publius New Medieval Figures Individual Figures
The first individual figure is a Dwarf Warrior No 6. He is firing a pistol in his right hand and is holding an ax in left hand back. Notice that his left leg is prosthetic. His right leg is on a rock.
The other figure is a German Knight 15th Century “Hussite Wars . He is holding a lantern in his right hand. In his left hand is his sword. Interestingly he is not wearing a scabbard. Both of these figures are 1/32 scale.
As with other Publius sets they are not cheap Maxim is selling the set of six knights for $59.99 plus $13.99 for postage. The individual figures he is selling for $14.99 plus postage. As we discussed before Publius is not cheap because it is low runs. They also had complaints on their plastic breaking. that has been resolved. Still it is you the buyer that has to decide.
The price manta created by Publius and EB had give russian makers an idea that every figure could be sold from 7-15 price each making the hobby p figures from Russian and some other companies countries a inflation .
For a moment I carry and sold some but then realize that even high quality figures require a lot work else if this become a norm then more makers will use it as excuse and abuse of it too much .
At this point even so i have money to buy many of these set i had refuse spend so in way of either refusal,defiance and else.
If i want support the hobby i will but if i want support it can not be by agreeing to every rise value per figure every single minor maker want add to the everyday increasing market.
Yet i respect those who will buy it .
In other hand few of these makers do not care much about market and decide to spend few thousand their own to create their own figures out pleasure and or in some cases fame .

Wish then the best and i admire their work and figures.

Short run molds made by mexicans cost production is far low and even if ask exact same quality wish could be done by then if like ,the price will be less.
I think these prices from Russia are far too inflated after deep research in tooling used with some there in the field who informe it and agree there is an over speculation on it .

It seems that in the St. Petersburg area where PP, EB and Publius are from there are many great sculptors who either worked on Metal figures or both. That’s the key. If Mexico can get the same artistry and keep the price a lot lower than the St. Petersburg makers will probably lower their prices.
Publius clone already made metal figures.
PP uses a artist who is talent and sculpt x metal company altogether w 3D technology
EB uses his own artist that made x Chintoy as well
Warhansas uses 3D designed figures.
not sure on others
it is in the mold making where they claim spend much.
I think is over exaggerated.
I think CONTE will not try long run but short run and put prices near the Russians base in this new norm.

Also if Conte makes his plastic comeback he could compete with the Russian market by keeping the prices lower. As the PP owner said in his interview his figures are the “Cadillac” of plastics – which they are now. If someone comes along and matches the quality and keeps the price lower it would be the same as the Japanese Auto makers impact on GM.
