Engineer Bassevitch Ancient Egyptians and Philistines is the their latest set. Igor Bassevitch has stated that the set 25 will close the theme of Biblical wars and the ancient world for now.

The set has twelve figures, six Egyptians and six Philistines.
As always the figures are well detail. I amsure people will want to add them to their collection.
Egyptian poses are as follows:
- Eygptian with sword and a standard
- Pharaoh standing firing bow
- Female with a different knife in each hand
- Egyptian soldier firing bow
- Soldier advancing with sword and shield
- Egyptian advancing with spear and shield
- Soldier with axe?

The Philistines poses are as follows:
- Philistine standing with sword and round shield
- Standing to side sword down with round shield up
- Soldier with curve sword and round shield
- Standing with club or axe overhead
- Possible leader with spear pointing down.

I can see this figure being used in various scenes. It is one of my favor figures of this set.
I see this figure blocking a door ready to sweep the enemy.

Once again Engineer Bassevich has come up with an interesting set. I can’t wait to see how the Egyptians compare with the Atlantic, Cherilea and Jescan Egyptians. These figures maybe at the London Toy Soldier Show and German Plastic Show. Now that Engineering Bassevitch is stopping ancient world figures, I wonder what they next.

Egyptians we have too the marx 60mm recast in russian plus “Horribles” brands as well few others.For Philistines ,the RAIN FALL playset with 50 figures made in 4 poses in two colors as well can be use along these but i think they run in 54 /56 mm .

Have just bought two sets off Steve Weston at the London Toy Soldier Show today. Have not had a chance to look at them yet but they look good from the pictures on here.
Looks like the Phillistines and some of the Egyptians can be used for Troy alongside LOD!
They are beautiful sculpts – as usual. I wish I had bought the 60mm Atlantic Ancients (their best line IMHO) – I might be tempted to buy a set or two of these to “flesh out” my ranks – which is what I’m doing, very selectively with some of the X-Force sets, when they are compatible.
Wow i love these figures, Basevich Engineer has done it again. Great sculpts, Mostly Great poses and again its brilliant to see something different that isn’t done much in 1/32 scale. I will definately be buying a set or 2 of these. Its a shame that they say this is an end to there Ancient figures but i really hope they go back to it sometime in the future.
EB has updated their FB page with clearer identifications of the six Egyptians and Goliath and the other five Philistines.
Hi Erwin, You mentioned new Chintoy sets coming: do you know what they are? Are the Rainfall sets still available (I’ve never seen these) ?.

Rainfall(David and Goliath ) play sets are now long gone. They were for sale in religious stores in 90s and some once an while pop off ebay either lose lots or in box .They are quite neat generic ancient early people warriors that can be used for many armies and conversions as well

The MARS japanese were post here and in my opinion and that of others are very ugly done. Yet you can see here in this blog post and I do not discourage any buying ,just giving my personal like .

A quick google search point to this link that show not close enough the playset with figures ,nice tent and rocks .However the seller list indicate it is mint but is not as original come in nt ziplogs of course.

Rainfall launch a 2.5 ” painted figures charters first and second testament tales mini playset ,Jonah and the whale with nice ship more like a ancient fishing merchant style in plastic and hollow inside ,temple with samson and king nice columns building temple facade ,a resurrection mount with tree cross and cave plus a nice eastern stucco style building hollow in back with door .
All accessories building serve the 1/32-1/25 scale purpose
I have one each minus the houses that got 4 then to create use x western/mexican /alamo and for romans or arbs scenes .
I was able buy many and before but resold all doubles minus the houses as i say
The figures are too tall x my like but buildings have many multiuse in my preferences .Here you can see some more .
