The five Bolivians look great four of them could go as Alamo figures. The other figure you could use as a apache.

  2. james nixon says:

Just had a thought you could also use four of them as Spanish guerrillas.

  3. Evan Oelrichs says:

Looks like they fixed the weapon size problem, they look great.

  4. Wayne W says:

I agree; they would make great Alamo figures – or any other western scenario. Thinking they might go good with Peninsular War, too. Debating on pulling the trigger on this one – the price is above my usual limit – but I have made exceptions before.

Thye are nicely sculpted figures, but they are not exactly action packed figures either. I hate it when they have a foot up on a rock, and I’ve never seen a guy put his foot on top of a cannon ball, just doesn’t seem prudent.

I really like this set! As others have said, they would make great Alamo and Western figures. Pricy, but very nice.

I wish more South American history figures would come out. Over the years, I have become fascinated with South American history of the 19th century. Argentina had The Conquest of the Desert, a genocidal war against their equivalent of Plains Indians. There was the incredibly destructive War of the Triple Alliance fought roughly at the same time and with the same weaponry as the American Civil War, and there was the War of the Pacific in the 1870s and 80s, and the War of Canudos in Brazil of the 1890s where a holy man tried to set up an independent nation of the poor and landless. Then in the 1920s there was Lampiao and the Cangaceiros in Brazil, who were like the outlaws of the American Wild West on steroids!

You can find pretty much any situation of the American Wild West in South American history, but it’s all far more violent, extreme and over-the-top. I wish my Spanish was better so I could read more of the reference material. English sources are hard to find.

I hate to be the bad commenter .
But I do not see in this much news.
First I barely see any use as the figures have very non action poses and even though two can be use as apaches else, other as obvious generic priest and officer and last as any cowboy ,Mexican else …
The set of these maker are way over priced .$7.00 plus per figure for not getting any action poses.

Historical are very odd choice and not quite correct.
Bolivar is not just heroes of Bolivia but also most of South America in general. Before that he was in fact hero of Peru or Great Peru. Bolivia is a division of former Northern Peru that acquired name of this war hero of America independence in 1825.
Bolivar is in fact observed as THE funder of Colombia,Venezuela,Ecuador and Bolivia .Not only Bolivia.

The other 2 are death martyrs of failed war revolution that never let to actual independence of later named BOLIVIA . as were in fact fighting x Peru .
The last is actually an Indian who fought most time against the later new Government no Spain not x the independence but for the right of the native people
Besides who will buy this to play the great Bolivian or virreinato of Peru revolution wars !!?
Most will try give use for else other that what where original intended made as far I can see every comment here
This maker really screw with odd big weapons first ,then price and rare choice poses /thematic in set .
With exception of few later sets but still insane price what make this maker survive is they are limited run made
In my opinion is a waste of plastic this set x international hobby unless specific targeting Peru/Bolivia S America collectors’ .
    My thoughts.

I am wondering if warhansa may does these for a cilent and then offer to the public. It would be good if someone could ask.

That is a good though question….
It also looks like he covers video game as far all SFC and futuristic else fantasy figures made .The pirates and cowboys looks like extracted from games .
The 3D technology used give the chance to do limited numbers but at very high cost to be sold high price too.
Is difficult buy from him too,i ended using a 3er party via my great friend to get only set from then i got -Ninjas
