Collector Offerings Marx DUKW Timmeee Much More Marx DUKW
James Wozniak of Classic Recast picked this item up at the recent Marx Meeting in Wheeling West Virginia. It is a Marx battery Operated DUKW made in Hong Kong.
Here you can see the contents of the set along with some of the other items James got at the show. (Marx Blame it, Marx band and Comic character figures.)
Here is a closeup of DUKW Notice that they used Duck. The set came with two barges for the DUKW to pull along.
The figures that came with the DUKW were copies of the Monogram model figures. As I told James the items made in Hong Kong by used local source figures. Marx toys from this period have several examples of this. (The white figures are hard plastic versions of Marx 60mm.)

Lorrie Causey tells his Timmee display wall. You can see that there are some interesting items. I like how several of the tanks barrels are used to hold helmets.
Collector Offerings Marx DUKW Timmeee Much More New Pirate Set
I was first made aware of these pirates by Erwin Sell. Then just recently I got the set from Peter Evans. The pirates are 65mm and have a hollow back.
The set has four different pirates plus a woman prisoner. The pirate with cannon is based a Papo figure.
Here is the the back of three figures. Why they did this I have no idea.
The Pirate set comes with accessories. I like the small palm tree.
Two different signs the one on the left says Map. I kid you not. The other sign says let go.
Here is the figures bagged. Erwin said the following
Collector Offerings Marx DUKW Timmeee Much More Mini Canada
I manage long ago get get two of these DUKW very cheap as battery not working but in great out condition ,no figures from UK before shipping prices got ridiculous.
For some reason most appear often from UK or Europe ,I had barely seen then here from sellers/shows or ebay .
The same series-line has a in same 1.30 scale approx .A Sheridan Vietnam tank ,a scimitar British armored car , a Patton type tank , a DUKW ford model jeep w close canvas , a Land Rover and a rare amphibian vehicle truck that I post here before and not idea in what real model is base on.I got all those too and can provide pics as well if need.
All have the MARX logo impress in bottom but words HK on it too. They used the D old type battery in most cases.
They are very close to real models but not accurate depicted of course. They match better with 60-70 mm IDEAL,TIM MEE,PAYTON,AJAX,BETON ,AURBURN,JECSAN ,COMANSI ,PH,COFALU and rest tall scale soldiers.
For true 1.32 scale and more realistic DUKW the brands all plastic well done by POLITOYS-TEXAS ,JECSAN and Argentina two brands that i have too are much better .
My thoughts..
best ..
Self correction ,it is not a Scimitar but Saladin armored car, the one done by MARX-HK too in same line battery operator, also there is a Jeep that i do not have as too big .
best..
On Pirates I believe they are copied from some type of game and bag now as that ,the rare half back make me think they are suppose to be attached,I still can use then facing front ,the woman pose is unique .
My thoughts..
best
I like that Timmee Wall Lorrie Causey set up. It makes a nice memorial. Very creative display.
One of my bucket list items is a complete set of the Monogram figures, but the first set, not the one pictured above. The one that was more in tune with WWII. I always thought they were one of the best figure sets ever made. Unfortunetly they are a bit undersixed, but fit well with the Eldon WWII guys.
The last time I was in the Wisconsin Dells they still offered DUKW rides, part of a little tour they give mostly pointing out building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. They take you off road and into the water. They have been giving those tours since the 50’s.
Nice items I wish everything was re issued,,
Love the Timmee display and can somebody sell me a ‘prisoner chick’ figure? Useful for prisoners of Injuns or Vikings!
