New Russian Figure Company Figures Are Out

We Just heard from our friend Denitz that the Romans, European knights and Russian Knights . Here is what he had to say.
Finally I got stock of 3 new sets (Roman Legionaries, European Knights, Russian knights).

They are wonderful !!!

As I said before  they are produced by a small NoName brand from Ural region. Now each set contains 6 figures in 6 poses.

Romans :

True 60mm. Done in metallic blue color. Perfect matching with Marx and TSSD for example :
Some sets contains SEVENTH pose with different plug-in arm and different shield type. But still 6 figures in set total. Just one variant replaced to another.

European Knights :
So 5 Knights and one Viking.

True 60mm. Done in metallic lilac color. Perfect matching with Marx and X-Force for example :

Russian Knights :

Russians – are most “weak” set by poses, because really contains only 4 unique poses. Fifth pose made by different plug-in arm
And sixth pose copied from European Knights set. Arbalester or Knight with plume or Viking some time.

Done in silver color. Anyway very good set, also true 60mm and perfect matching with X-Force and Marx figures :

I got them already and plastic is very similar to one used early by Technolog figures/sets.The detail is great but poses are a bit too flat and waste the dynamism opportunity. Some weapons either look too thick or too small-sample(Russian spearman and Russian archer with children/boy scout bow).
The use of Viking in knight set to make then look more Teutonic remain me of the soviet film from 1938 A Nevsky .Funny!!!
Orcs come a bit smaller 48-53 mm with a 5th variation pose/weapon(crossbow or spear) option.
In my opinion romans and orcs are the best..

Russians used mongol bow, not famous european longbow.

Andrey, that is not a compose Mongol bow. Beside Russian are represented with many other bows too in history ,movies and other toy soldiers. They used their own(many derivate from ancient and Viking style plus former Byzantine styles too), plus copied the Mongol bow after years been under their dominion. Mongol compose bow is one of the hardest to be made and use, required a lot strength and practice, is made if compose and or animals parts mix that required a cure period of not less 3 years if want it to be good. So either all the rest are complete wrong or else.
Mongol bow is not a children toy bow. That is too small x any compose bow strong shot. That bow is ridiculous small and the spear is ridiculous thick ,unless you can proof Russian spar were made of 3″ diameter pole least.
Do not take that serious, these are toy figuirines, nothing else.
    Best…

Nice looking figures, I agree with Erwin that some are a bit boring and not very dynamic but not bad. Nice to see Russia pumping out Toy Soldiers of different eras and long may it continue. On a personal level i would prefer it if the figures were the classic 54mm scale, Ive noticed over the last few years that figure scales are all over the place from 45mm up to 65mm, I wish everyone would stick as closely to 54mm as possible, But that’s me having a little moan.

  5. TDBarnecut says:

Perhaps the trend will continue on to 6″ figures?

  6. Erwin says:

Why not.It is what Marx did and GI Joe’s
    begin making after all!!
    I was joking 🙂 🙂 🙂
