More Old Television Channels Showing UP

I was scanning the various channels on cable and found that we got another new one Decades.  This channel is a partnership between CBS Television Stations and Weigel Broadcasting.  Weigel Broadcasting also owns Me TV.  Decades will show various classics television sitcoms and dramas from the 1950s through the 1980s. They will also show historical news and documentary shows.  They planned do binge programming where one particular show is run all day. Right now they are running Mission Impossible.

Another network is that is suppose to show up on April 15th, is called LAFF it will carry mostly comedy shows. As we get more details we will pass them along.

I have “MeTV” available in my AO but it doesn’t really impress me.How many times can they show “The Rifleman” and “Wanted-Dead or Alive” over and over again when there are tons of other good 50’s 60’s TV shows they could be doing. They should air a program like “The Rifleman” from Pilot episode all the way through series till final show and then air another series like “Trackdown” or “Grey Ghost” etc.But you can find lots of Oldies on Youtube.

I agree that the channels need to run other Rifleman. The beauty is between the nostalgia channels, DVDs and the internet we can see many of the shows we enjoyed as child.

I love these new channels with the classic shows ,a lot of them were a little before my time so they are new to me, I like Make Room for Daddy a lot and the classics like Dennis the Menace and Leave it to Beaver ( material for new figures ? ) !

“Leave it to Beaver” had several shots of Beaver and Larry playing with what looked like Timmees on different episodes.I remember one episode where the Beav said he was tired of playing “Korea”!!.Opie had a Marx Civil War playset on display in one episode.
