More New Russian Sets A Comment, I have more new sets to share with you. It has been my pleasure over the last 40 years to share new items. While there are other sites doing it I will continue to share new items. It is just one aspect of this site. I also have a comment from someone on my ongoing debate with Hugh.

More New Russian Sets Various Periods

It is amazing what is being done by Russia. Store71rus has been showing several new sets. The first set is five Vikings including one female.

BELERIAND TOY SOLDIERS has a second set of Guistes.

Back to Tithon, we have six figures of Aztecs.

No Name has gone from medieval figures to WWII Germans. The set has twelve different figures.

Plastic Platoon has done French Colonial Marines French and Indian War

Back to Tithon, we have the Swiss Command Set

Finally, Trosky’s Armored Train Convoy has six different figures.

Important News Warhorse Miniatures

Mike Predergast has posted the following on Facebook. I am sorry to announce that production of the Warhorse Miniatures has been halted for the time being. We are in the process of moving and will not be able to produce anything until we settle in. As of when I do not have an estimated time. The move is unexpected but necessary. We will not be attending any shows until next year the Midwest Toy Soldier Show. Also, the webstore is on hold too. Thank you all for your support.

Correct, I have found his blog to be both entertaining and informative over the years. I know most collectors get
Passionate about the information we collect over the years, and we all make mistakes from time to time
But in the grand scheme of things
It’s just toys we’re talking about, isn’t it?

My reply. Welcome Anthony, I like to take the second part of your comment first. when we were growing up we were only interested in the toys. When we started collecting as adults many of us wanted to know more about the company. The major companies such as Marx and Britains have plenty of documentation. It is the smaller companies that lasted only a few years where we have very little documentation. Spaulding Dinosaur I have a brochure from this company that will be used.

That brings us to Rubenstein International which is another company where documentation is weak.

More New Russian Sets Hugh Walter

Now, we come to Hugh Walter while you find him entertaining. Fact in point he makes mistakes and worse conjectures that are wrong. Case in point Rubenstein International did not do a header card of Soldiers of the World. They did as I sold them in my lists that I did 40-plus years ago. When I started going to the Plastic Warrior Show I would buy any of the cereal premiums related to that series as I could sell them back in the States.

The other thing with Hugh is his unprofessionalism. when he was asked a legitimate question by Kent Sprecher Hugh responded with expletives. I have received email from him with cursing from him. I just laugh when I see it.

So enjoy what you like as I said I have seen behind his curtain and it is very sad.
