September 2023 Odds Ends Chrin

The weekend of September 9th had a number of shows that I could go to. I decided to do the toy show at the Chrin Center outside of Easton, PA. The show had 250 tables which are mostly action figures but I have found figures. At one table I found a dealer with a few Comansi and Comics Spain figures. I decided to keep the Comansi Jack the Ripper and the Comics Spain Conan.

At one of the few dealers with figures Josh Petrie I acquired a nice group of figures for resale and the collection. For resale I got some Marx Robin Hood, Timmee mounted pioneers, and a Timpo igloo. For myself, I got a French space figure, a Timmee Merryman, and a Timmee pirate. I was quite pleased to get the Timmee Merryman as they are hard to find. Josh gave me the marine which is a copy of the Marx figure. He also had copies of the Marx 60mm Space figures from Spain. They made changes to the original figures like giving bigger weapons.

One other thing I talked to one of the wrestling people Jimmy Hart that they had there to sign autographs. He asked me where I was from and I told him Allentown. He said two of his friends live there. I mentioned how they had wrestling matches at local fairgrounds. They were televised. Jimmy remarked that those were good old days that we will never see again.

After an hour and half, I headed home.
