Chiller Spring Show 2023 Mars Ukrainian Defenders, I went to the Spring edition of Chiller and found the show interesting. Next, I look at the Mars Ukrainian Defenders coming out in August.
Chiller Spring Show 2023
Twice a year the Chiller is held in New Jersey. Chiller brings in various people from movies and television for fans to meet, and get their autographs and photos with them. Sherri, who went with me in the Fall went with me again. I got early rights and we got in an hour early the general crowd. The only problem was very few of the stars were down behind their booth. We decided who would wait. We decided on Billy Zane. Billy has been in Tombstone and the Phantom. I asked him if he had tried for a different role on Tombstone. He said no the writer had written the role for him in mind. Also, he said he had to bulk up to portray the Phantom.
By the time we had gotten our autographs with Billy Zane the other actors had long lines. I spotted that the line for William Fitcher was not long. William has been in so many movies and television shows. Most people know him from Mom. I found out he had played Butch Cassidy in Johnny Depp’s Lone Ranger movie. I asked him how it was in the movie. he loved it as he got to ride horses. Sherri got her photo with him.
Marcus Boas
One other thing I was able to do was reconnect with an old dear friend Marcus Boas. I met Marcus Boas through another friend Bob Pinaha years at the New York Comic Book Cons. Marcus has done various covers for books and magazines. We got caught up on things before Sherri and I left.
Looking back at the show, I will not get early rights as it is not worth it. Unless you planned to spend the whole day figured on only getting one or two stars. Also, planned to spend money as the stars are now charging $50.00 for an autograph and $50.00 for a selfie. If you get both they discount it to $80.00. And you have to have cash no credit cards.
Mars Urkanian Defenders Update
Erwin was able to get an update on when these figures will be out. The tentative date is August.

Paul so glad you had a chance to go to the thriller show. I know you have gone for years and really had a good time.
I wish we had a chiller type show down here in Florida where I live; at least, as far as I know.
The Mars Ukrainian figures are a great addition to our hobby and am excited to hear about their pending release.
I’m curious as to the choice for the mustard color as opposed to maybe a light tan or olive green. Still, I will purchase these long awaited figures regardless.

There are some comic book conventions in Florida that have guests like Chiller. A big one is in Orlando.
Thank you Paul! I actually live in Orlando. I don’t know how I missed it. I’ll do some research on my end to hopefully catch the next show here.
Color may no bee mustard shade , is more green shade color ,these are prototype so far.
Good point Erwin. If we’re lucky, hopefully they release in multiple colors as some have suggested here and can be used as other modern forces.

Will Mars have Russian to go along?

I think all sets start with the 320 numbers .
The next set announcement is the Soviet border patrol set ,# 32043
I had not heard any about another German Volkssturm set so far .
