Waterloo 1815 Future Figure Plans

Erwin Sell contacted Andrea Pierini the owner of Waterloo 1815 to get the background on his future 1/32 scale figure sets. The figures will be an all NEW set with the same uniform as the Airfix WWII Italians. It will be to represent Italian army infantry 1939 to 1943

The second 1/32 scale is based on their Napoleonic Highlanders Set 39. The original set has eleven 11 poses to pick from. You can see the 1/72 scale set here.

Andrea also told Erwin that the second set of the 7th cavalry set will be out in September.

The WW2 Italians sets are great news, depending on proportions. I held off on their other sets, but if they’re compatible with Airfix and CTS these are must-haves.

I have the 1/72 scale Waterloo Highlanders waiting to be painted. I was going to move on to them after I’d completed painting about 400 Strelets-R British Line and Highland figures at attention, marching, and at ease. Then I re-organized and touched up my old ESCI, Italeri, and Airfix figures retiring the figures that were definitely showing their age. That was another several hundred figures. By that time I figured I almost have 1:1 ratio for the Highlanders at Waterloo and if I had to paint one more tartan my eyes would be permanently crossed. Time to take a break.

But I believe the proportion and detail on these Highlanders will translate well into 1/32 scale. Exciting news. BTW: they are designed to form a square.

  2. Hi Paul. Thank you for sharing the information about the Saxons. As of right now we should have few different sets available by October. We are still testing out the design of the house. It probably be pushed back until late this year or early next year. The Blacksmith shop will be ready in October. The Viking Raider set is almost finished too. It might be ready in October or soon after. We are working on about 8 different things right now that should be ready by the end of the year. The next phase of Raiding sets should begin in December. If you come to the Columbus Toy Soldier Show in October you will see a display of what is available and some prototypes.

  3. Michael Hirsch says:

The 1/72 Waterloo WWII Italians were copies of the 1/32 Airfix Italians. Hopefully their upcoming Italians will be new figures in different poses.

    • This set was made using the original Airfix mold. Hat Industrie also had the mold run.

    • ERWIN SELL says:

No copies ,The Airfix set HO were just a large amount overstock bought from Airfix and sold by Andrea Pierini ,owner of WATERLOO 1815.Watrerloo 1815 had a large amount set in HO not copies of any body and they release 3 sets in 1/32 base on it years ago; still fairly common around of eBay or direct from dealers .
The new set he will do is base in one of those original made set by W1815 in HO not made in 1/32 yet but depicting same regular infantry uniform as those of Airfix as explained bellow please.

  4. Tom Black says:

Interesting sets from Waterloo 1815 and Warhorse miniatures. The Little Man remind me of characters from Conan the Barbarian hopefully they are not as expensive as Publius and PP. I saw a picture of one pose of an upcoming set from Mars “ Late WW2 British Infantry 1944-45.” Is there any more photos of this 1944-45 Brit set out there? They would make great D-Day and beyond Canadians.

  5. ERWIN SELL says:

Sorry but no ,I NEED to clarify something and correct it to avoid confusion .
WATERLOO1815 will do an all new set
WATERLOO1815 own HO WW2 Italians sets are not copies of Airfix .

The following HO set had not been done in 1/32 and may be one of these will be the ne plan to be release in 1/32 in future .

    They are new figures .
The only WATERLOO 1815 set was same as HO Airfix and that were just recast from Arifix HO set sold by waterloo 1815 not copied or cloned by WATERLOO 1815 ,that will be the set that bring confusing .
