Show News Replicants Review foot
In the various photos of the 2019 Plastic Warrior show, we had photos of the Replicants Texas Rangers. These figures were designed to go with Last year’s release of Replicants Comanchees. ( the foot did at the Plastic Warriors Show last year and the mounted were released later in the year.) The Texas Rangers were formed in the 1830s. besides dealing with various outlaws they fought various Indian groups including the Commanches.
Peter Cole decided to base his Texas Rangers in the 1840s instead of the later periods which has been done many times before. This year’s release saw four foot and four mounted.
the foot poses are as follows.
1. Standing with Blunderbuss at waist
2. Standing loading his rifle using his power horn
3, Kneeling one firing pistol while holding another pistol in the other hand
4. Standing firing rifle
Mounted Texas Ranger One
The mounted are sold in bags of two figures per bag. One bag mounted with a pistol and firing to the left with a rifle.
Mounted Texas Rangers 2
The other bag has Ranger clubbing and Ranger with the rifle at the waist. pointing left
Painted figures
Peter Cole likes to show how they look painted.

Over all an interesting a group of figures. the foot could also be used in a Alamo scenario. I also like his mix of hats for the figures. My old problem I had was standing the mounted figures upright has anyone else had that problem?

I can definitely see the Alamo angle on the foot figures; both the foot and mounted figures would work for San Jacinto, too.

  2. Brian Johnson says:

    I especially like the FLAT bases,LOL .

  3. I usually cut bases from card (the kind ring binders and board games are made from). Then I hot glue the figures to them.

I like the Replicants Texas rangers poses/figures,they got a lot of dynamism in poses.
The horses are a good improvements from previews.Still too small x figures.
The mounted shooting sideways up is very lakie a swoppet HK pose made before used in foot ,horse or carriage and alose very alike the Britain stagecoach crew driver firing rifle pose in reverse.Still Replicant has it own style.
They have plenty use in many wars, action else from early 1800 till end…
    my thoughts

I bought two sets of each of these at the Plastic Warrior Show they are great came to £52.00 for the lot. We have bought everything they have made so far all great figures.

  6. Christian Aldo says:

OH, the crisp detail is out of this world!

  7. ed borris says:

I could do without the blunderbuss guy, but the other foot poses are decent. I like the guy with two pistols and the loading guy. I have no interest in the mounted figures.
