Plastic Figure Wonderland News
We post about the Warhansa fantasy figures. The male figure looked like Conan but was called something else. (Rights are very expensive.)
Showing the back of the Conan
Detlef purchased this figure from Warhansa and painted them. I feel he did an excellent job, making the figure look better.

The other figure is a female warrior. (Xena anyone?)

These figures are for a collector who wants them for their fantasy army. The pair is not cheap. they will cost you $25.00 plus shipping from Eastern Europe

Replicants Paul Morehead Figure

Paul Morehead as Rocker
One of the photos that were a mystery to me was the man playing the guitar. We found out it was of Paul Morehead, one of the founders of Plastic Warrior. I emailed Paul to find the story behind this figure from Replicants. Paul replied “I was not involved. My daughter commissioned it to be made by Peter Cole. It was made to celebrate my 70th birthday. They took it from an old photo. I did not know about it until the day of the show”

Flea Market Time

The flea market season has started and it seems that we are having a continuation of last year. The quality is down for our figures. I did one flea market and other than a reissue Marx Service Station playset the only figures available were Rel. I am hoping some toy-related shows that I have in the next two months will come with interesting items.

  1. Thank you for mentioning my blog post Paul. Those Warhansa figures look really nice painted. I found a Auburn playset at Leesport for $50. I have some pictures of that with the same post about the Prikaz sets. It was in really nice shape. Prikaz keeps getting better with their figures.

Did you get it on a Wednesday or one of their Sunday shows at Leesport?

      • I found it on Wednesday. It was in the field, a guy selling all kinds of things. This was the only toy he had with him. He was firm with the price. This is a keeper for me. I was very happy to find it. I never saw it before. Most of the time I find dirty or broken figures. Most of these figures were clean, a few had some broken rifles.

If you are talking about the grass field area (grass area to the right when you are going down the hill). That area rarely shows up with anything. My last visit to Leesport, I only got two MPC ore cars and Men of 76. Another dealer who was hunting had only found one good item in three hours of roaming. He does character items besides other items. Mike Russo and Tom Stine roam the market at times.
