While Fontanini company know for their nativity figures they did other figures. They did African natives, pirates, Indians, and cowboys. The figures are 45mm high. Here is a cowboy that I picked up at one of the German plastic shows. I like the pose of the cowboy squatting. Like he is looking at under wagon. I will show more of these figures in the near future.

This figure is 45mm and maybe a Cherilea. He is missing the little rectangular indention you see on smaller Cherilea western figures. I looked at the pictures on Google of Cherilea Western figures with no luck. Whoever made the pose I like it.

Some great poses, I’ve always admired many of Fontaninni’s poses. I just wish they were in “my” scale.

FONTANINI Indians and western plus pirates and Africans are quite over 45 mm and very close to the smaller range 1/32.
      I have most full sets
the Fontanini African match perfect w a call to arms Zulu and Marx African.
      I can do photos
the western match w crescent and lone star small 54 mm series pretty much as well Marx and mpc western.
so the pirates.. Some poses because the rare poses may look a bit smaller but body fill is compatible in my view.
      best .
Painting was quite well done and good quality paint type in early series while later reissues were getting poor quality.
      best

The swoppet cowboy is a composite figure.
The head looks to be Elastolin. The body and gun belt is Charbens and the legs are a Ri-Ti pair.
The cowboy drawing his pistol is by Up to. The Hilco version is slightly different in detail. The other cowboy is by Cherilea. Originality designed to be produced in hollow cast metal. This figure is part of the first plastic range by this company. In metal he would have been 54mm but because plastic has cooling shrinkage he is 50mm.
There should be the Cherilea name on top of the base by his feet.

sorry I meant to say Koho but the curse of predictive text struck
    apologies
