Thor Shiel Has Died  I did not know him so I will let others like Mike Pedergast give you their feelings on him.  You can read Mike’s thoughts here.

    sounds like most leading the hobby or collecting are dying off or leaving the business,,so why are prices so high?

    I always considered Thor to be an excellent source of info, especially trains. I didn’t have regular dealings with him, but when we did have contact he was always most helpful. I hope someone wilk keep his website on-line.

      I think Thor lived in New Jersey. He went to the hospital earlier this month for some procedure and had some problems. After about 3 weeks he got released and then had a heart attack a day or so later and died the following day.

    hello .. I had corresponded a few times with Thor, he was always friendly and helpful !!! Really sad the whole !!!
