Detlef Heerbrand was looking through photos for Peter Bergner. Peter wanted photos of the early of the days of his show. Going through the photos he found two photos with Laurie and me in them. The pictures were taken around 1995 at the London Toy Soldier Show. The first one has Laurie and myself buying some items. Laurie is holding some of my purchases. Laurie is a good back stop. Not only does she helps in carrying the items, she spots items I might miss. Laurie is also a good sounding board. The person in front of us is Mike Ellis of Marksman.
The other photo that Detlef shared just shows Laurie with some figures. I am off to the left with pouch one. In the doorway is Norman Joplin who started the London Toy Soldier Show. The show in 1995 was at the Royal National Hotel. I like it when it was at that location. The show has changed hands several times and moved twice. The newest location is Haverstock School which some people and vendors are unhappy about.

I had two shows this month. the first was with Laurie in Maryland. we liked this show as we find some different dealers with some interesting items. This time we did not and I only bought from two regular sources.
The second show was an indoor garage sale at our local fairgrounds. This show that can be a hit or miss for items. This year it was a miss the only figures I saw other than made in China was Marx Fort Apache playset. Idid purchase some Alladin and Tangled PVC figures.
There were four figures in the Tangled lot of which I needed two. They were Rapunzel and Maxmillian the horse. The other two Flynn Rider and Mother Gothel I have so they will go up on Ebay. I been looking for these figures for the last two years as it give me something to look for.
So hopefully the rest of the collecting season will be better.

Yes it is true. I might have a photo somewhere of the gentleman. They did use a small room on another level which got too hot and got rid of.
