Very pleased to inform you of the release of two new sets for the \u201c60mm Medieval Wars \u2013 Chainmail Armor Series\u201d as follows:-

60 HYW 09 W \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Mounted Men-at-Arms (White Steel)<\/strong>
60 HYW 09 B \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Mounted Sergeants (Black Steel)<\/strong>
\u00a0
The two sets contain the same models except in different plastic colors. (I used different titles to minimize error.)

All models are supplied unpainted.
There will be two more box sets in this supplementary series (both due September 2022):-
60 HYW 10 Mercenary Crossbowmen
60 HYW 11 Command (includes Fighting Bishop, Standard Bearer, and Foot Knights)

The shields in this series bear the insignias of the military orders: Hospitaller, Templar, Teutonic and Common Crusader. They can be mixed or assembled to form banners, small military units, from the military orders. These shields can also be used with our existing sets (HYW series) to assemble forces of the various Orders.

\"Two<\/a>

The epitome of medieval chivalric combat is the mounted charge with the lance. This mode of combat becomes established in western Europe by the 12th\u00a0Century. The momentum of the galloping horse, the underarm couched lance, the cantled saddle, the stirrup, and the vamplate on the lance to prevent the lance from sliding backward from the hand grip upon impact, all work together to make the chivalric charge \u2026 punching through the walls of Babylon! \u00a0Our model above is designed with this in mind.

We have designed this set to be supplementary to our existing HYW sets based on 14th<\/sup>\u00a0Century battles. By that period, the more affluent warriors would have coat-of plates armor in addition to chainmail for added protection. However, the non-aristocratic sergeants and armati are less affluent and chainmail would be more common among them although these would be more complete with a coif, mitten, and chauses.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

The set contains 5 model soldiers plus 5 horse models, comprising of 1 knight-officer and 4 mounted men-at-arms in two tactical postures; charging and advancing in support. The heads and arms are interchangeable to enable the assembly of different postures.\u00a0<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The remaining sets are already completed and in the production queue for release in September 2022.<\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n
