OTHER ROOMS

Mark Young  with his book Blast Off

One of the many rooms at the show was the room with Mark Young. Mark is the author of the book Blast Off. In his room he had a number of space toys for sale. On the table in front of him was an unusual Premier space set. The set had 48 pieces and the original box. Mark also had some non-space toys for sale. I was able to get some Timpo Romans and Vikings for $8.00 each.

Ric Braccamontes with some of his many foreign plastic figures

We found Ric Braccamontes the last night we were there. Ric and I have been collecting foreign figures for years. Ric always comes up with many unusual figures. He had three Lafredo cowboys that were actually copies from China. Likewise we helped him identify some 45mm copies from China as well. We did purchase a couple of figures for resale and for the collection.

A close up of a display put up this year by Father and Son.

Each year a family puts up a display of figures related to some theme. This year they did Drums along the Mohawk. They do not do this display in order to sell the items. It is something they do just to share with other collectors. It was great to see how they mixed various figures to accomplish their task.

Another room display

A display of Marxman's new pirate ship and Moors Dhow

Marxman had two rooms full of new and old items. We did not notice anything new from Wild Hunting, but there were many other different items to make up for it. New from Marxman was a foam pirate ship which they had on display. It is available both painted and unpainted.  They also had a nice selection of old items.

A selections of composition animals for sale.

This Ideal Batman playset was in Rick Ebere's room
