Any idea when these will be ready and how much the set will cost, and where I can buy them from? Thanks, Stad these figures are awesome. Ed Bearnson 8-5-17.

  2. ERWIN SELL says:

As soon i get info i will pass to Stads
Cost is around or above the high price set of Publius from Russia (45.-50.00) per set approx !!!…
    Best..

  3. Erwin says:

If note well some of the poses are taken direct from footage of film (we were soldiers)
Officer w gun firing covering ear (Mel Gibson) and radio man seated w out boot.

    Best…

  4. Wayne W says:

They could do a lot worse than model that movie IMHO. I think the NCO firing the pistol is holding a handset to his ear. It’s hard to tell, but I think the standing guy is holding something – may be why the RTO is positioned where he is. Also, I see no sign of a handset in the RTO’s hand; again, it’s hard to tell from this angle.

I will think image base on some scenes from movie. Not quite coping the actor or else.
The artist did not follow details but extract ideas from it as well typical RAMBO pose w M60.That look more like Arnold.

The officer looks like Mel Gibson when they were to be overun and he shot an attacking charging VC almost when was about stab him.
      Just my impression.
The movie is one of my preffered in my personal like.
After so much antivietnam crap x decades this was a good one.
      My personals views.
      My thoughts

      • Mark T. says:

They should have based the M60 gunner on “Animal Mother” from Full Metal Jacket instead of Rambo or Arnold.

        • Mark T. says:

By the way, not intended as a negative comment on these incredible figures, but does anyone else think the M60s are a little short?

          • Erwin says:

Is what Greg says.some weapons looks short …but again these figures a re not finished products.
            Besy

  5. ed borris says:

Maybe the guy without the boot is Junior from Platoon, he looks like he’s wearing the skull cap like Junior wore in the movie. Of course it’s hard to tell from the photograph.

    • Erwin says:

I don’t think actors are copied.just the scene poses are used in some…my opinion

      • Wayne W says:

I don’t know how the Russians are about copyrights and all, but with the fees some actors charge for using their likeness – it can kill a great idea; we all know of at least one maker who had his ideas squashed.

The spirit of the characters are there and I think that’s enough.

I’m reminded of an article I read years ago about when Dick van Dyke wanted to do his imitation of Stan Laurel of Laurel and Hardy (and if you’re too young to know of whom I speak, I feel ooooold – look them up). He went about finding Stanley himself as he (Stan) had always been a hero of his (van Dyke’s). He was shocked to find Laurel, one of the most successful and legendary comedians of movie history living in poverty in an old actor’s home. Even worse, he discovered Laurel had sold the rights to portray him some years back and van Dyke had to pay those folks for the right to imitate him. From what I understand, van Dyke and Laurel became close friends with van Dyke visiting him frequently up to his death. So at least some good came of it. Stanley didn’t have to die alone.

        • Erwin says:

Yes.I guess they will play the game around.Better that way.
Still EB maker of Chintoy got very well along passing the first set with almost identical faces of British actors in sharpshooter .
          I forgot name now,my brain went blank..sorry

  6. Christian Aldo says:

    THREE different artists?!
Won’t that ruin the consistency of the collection?

  7. Christian Aldo says:

    3 sets please!

  8. Gary Kuepfert says:

My biggest concern on these figures #1 that they get done but that they are of a scale to go with the TSSD & Mars figures currently available. The reason I bring this up is remember how everyone was looking forward to XForce 1-32 scale WW2. And then they turned out to be so large they did not fit with any plastic figures in the market. These look so good I would be truely disappointed if that would happen.

  9. Wayne W says:

Oh yes, the M-60 is definitely too short. Unless it’s the carbine version… (that’s a jest by the way).

  10. ERWIN SELL says:

I just pass 17 new close up direct factory pictures of back front poses to observe better de impressive detail of then …and of course others find to “huge” mistakes made by artist…
    Best…

  11. Matt says:

I have these on order. The first set is done. Order will ship when second set is ready.
You are looking at about $55 per set.
