Warriors of the World Commercial?
Does anyone have a copy of the commercial for the Marx Warriors of the World?
Thanks
Mark
If you get I love to see it as I was told they did a song and if they did I would let the friend who said that it had song get a copy of it.
Hi,
I was 9 when Marx came out with the Warriors of the World toy soldiers. The words from the song in the commercial were “Warriors of the Worid by Marx, Warriors of the World”. I can’t recall anymore about the commercial. I would like to see it again.
By the way, my dad bought me a bb rifle that year and we used the soldiers for target practice. I guess some dismembered pirates and indians are buried in my parent’s backyard somewhere.
Good luck in finding the commercial.
Joe
Hi Joe K
Yes I know there is a song. One of my friends can sing it from memory. As to finding the commercial who knows as more and more shows on the internet it might show up.
Pardon my off-topic post, but for lack of a better spot, permit me to point out that Barzso website now has a preview up of his Lexington Green playset, including photos of 2 of the 3 buildings.
No problem don, I was going to cmment on it, but I have been very busy here.
I thought Lexington Green came out in September 2012, the newest one will be The Battle of Yorktown.
Ed
The Battle of Lexington Green was out last year from Barzso Playsets INC. Yorktown is slated for this year. You may see samples of figures for the Yorktown Playset at Indiannapolis Show.
Note the date of my post above. It is in May of 2012, an old post, before the Lexington Green Playset came out. I acquired the playset at OTSN last September, and like everyone else, hope to see the new Yorktown figures at Indy next month. At OTSN, Barzso already had models of the unreleased Yorktown figures on display, but at this point I can’t remember them very well, and hope to see them again, since I haven’t seen any photos on the internet yet. Better yet, it would be nice if Ron actually brought them as new product to Indy for sale, rather than hold them to make a splash at OTSN. Is Jim Clouse out there to give us the facts?
He’s out there somewhere. I think Ron had prototypes of the Yorktown figures at OTSN at least some of them, but I don’t remember exactly. That’s the one problem with selling at OTSN in a room by myself, I don’t get around as much as I’d like.
“Prototypes” was the word I was searching for. At OTSN, Ron had about 10 of them, and they all looked pretty good. I’m sure he’ll have them on display at Indy next month as well. Jim Clouse, where are you? I know you’ll be at Indy too, just like you were last year.
Warriors of the World commercial lyrics
Warriors, warriors, warriors of the world by Marx
Union Troops, Battery Troops, 20th century combat troops
Cadets all ready for dress parade
Minutemen in full brigade
Cowboys and Indians, Pirates Bold
Vikings and Romans from days of old
Each beautifully painted by hand
The best looking warriors in the land
I believe the second verse went something like this:” Union Troops, Confederate Troops, 20th Century Combat Troops” etc.
If someone can share the commercial or even just the song, you would surely make my week!
Thank you
John
