Warhansa Update

Warhansa Update Brian McIver passed along the following information

I was talking with Yury from Warhansa when I ordered his new cowboy figures. He also has some Fantasy Nordic figures & some Gladiators coming very soon.  Also some Medievil & another fantasy set (sculpts nearly done). He said I could share this info.

As we get more information we will let you know.

That’s right up my street, I cant wait to see these figures. Do you know what scale they are? As you probably know I collect 50mm to 60mm figures. So I really hope they arean’t 65mm as A lot of figures seem to be these days. If they fall between 50mm and 60mm I will be Very interested in them.

I have already received a set of these figures. I ordered them direct from Yury in Russia and even with the shipping, it was still cheaper than the listing I saw for the figures on eBay. I ordered the figures in beige instead of blue in anticipation that they would look well beside the Austin Miniatures cowboy set. They size pretty well with these figures. The pistols are a bit oversized, but not too bad. The buxom young woman’s long gun is a bit large, but I will call it a 10 gauge Model 1887 Winchester lever action shotgun and be content with it.

I ordered the tan Western set as well. They just left Moscow according to the tracker.

I wish I could have gotten a color mix with Eli Wallach and Salma Hayek in blue to match my Weston bandidos and Clint and Lee in tan for a match with the Austin set.

When I asked if there were any plans to upsize their modern mercenary adventurer line to 1/32, Yury said he wants to do it, but of course it will take time and money. Those are great figures, but only in 28mm so far.

My set arrived they are better than the photos. I can overlook the LARGE guns. They go with the Austin Cowboys & TSSD Tombstone figs. Hope they come out with more Western figures. Rich

On the forthcoming Medieval sets, are they Russian Medievals or Western European Medievals? I ask because I prefer the British, French, German and Italian style which most plastic toy soldiers for that era are done.
