We heard from our very good friend Andrey about some figures from Uzbekistan, Here is what Andrey says.

I sent you pictures of toy soldiers set from Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan is republic from former USSR. Also known as “Land of cotton”.
One enthusiast from Tashkent (capital of Uzbekistan) made very interesting set in plastic – Red Army of Russian Civil War.
Except EB, as I know, no one made plastic toy soldiers for this conflict.
Set contains 8 figures in 6 poses. Previously released in resin with more poses, but only 6 poses done in plastic. Probably other poses also will released, but not sure, because injection molding more hard than resin casting.
Four marching poses. Command group (officer, flagbearer and accordion player) and two privates in one pose.
Two action poses. Shooter and soldier with Maxim machine gun.
Figures made by low pressure technology, but overall details is good.
Just one minus – they are only 50mm tall, so it equal 1/35 scale and a bit small for 54-60mm toy soldiers collectors.
But anyway it’s good set for collection. Due limited quantity (technological restrictions), probably, this set will not offered widely.
So if anybody interested in, please, contact me (andrey@buslov.spb.ru). Price around $20. No prepayment need.

This is off topic. Does any one know anything about Richard Conte and if he
will be doing any plastic next year. Some one said he will be doing hundreds of new
figures and have a whole new website. Thanks, Ed Bearnson.

Interesting to add on the EB early figures that in some are smaller than actual later EB sets that follow.
Too bad so few action poses, Some of the poses are VERY alike taken from soviet era flat figures made in 70’s.Not bad at all!!
Atlantic did entire set about the RED soviet revolution army with Lenin and other possible characters as part of 4 controversial political sets done in both scales by company in late 60’s early 70′.Out of the 4 sets is the less pricy sold from abroad as far I had see and own.
In flat plastic figures Soviet Russian era sets are many about this conflict but too bad all too flat. I think some were reissued later in 90’s and one was cloned sold from China as well medieval/Mongolian set by not other than Hing Fat.
I have it from HF and was shock learn they are same almost identical.
    Best…

I’m thinking the enemies retreat when he starts playing?? May actually be convertible with a new head for my old West Medicine Show.

I like add on top of Atlantic Russian revolution and civil war set with the five EB done also the Nagant new set should be counted as part of same war period resent sets done.So is not only these new and EB done about it.
Several Technolog Russian brand set Cossacks sets could well be used as well Timpo ,Charben Cossacks (reissued later 90s).
The AIP russians are well suitable for white armies .
The french and british plus japanese WW One from AIP plus mounted Cossacks also serve as intervention and polish forces agaist the Red very well as uniform are same.
So there is plenty now to create a battle scene.
So I guess is not a limited cover now if use the right figures.
Plus several espicific done. Now these new add to Reds that only EB and Atlantic specific represent.
