Now that is certainly different. Good job.

Nice! Don’t forget Thomas’ Cherokee Legion in the Smokies of North Carolina and Tennessee – and that’s not counting the Northeastern tribes who fought for the North. Great job on pointing out a much overlooked part of the war.

A GREAT idea x forgotten period/participant of the war.
As mention before by Andy and he went and did it him self …
good work. Keep the factory …

Don’t forget about the Lumbee Indian revolt in N. Carolina. They STILL talk about that in certain parts of the State. I guess these Injuns decided not to ‘endeavor to persevere’. I bet a whole lot of you know where that’s from. Got to add: BG Ely S. Parker, a Seneca Indian who ended the war serving on LG Grant’s staff, but did lots else earlier on out. It took him 4 tries before they would let him serve as an Engineer officer (he was in fact a civil engineer), but he got accepted and served honorably.
    Interesting idea you had, Andy.

      Agree.
Also interesting Indians had always side in all wars, during French Indians English war, side w French and English/colonials too.
Independence the side both side, The wars with Mexico, they side too to both.
I like ANDY’S poses for others Indian wars as Seminole wars too. Nice poses.

    Nicely done, Andy.

So, those Penn Cavalry are kits. They look interesting. I have a couple
of boxes from another company, who’s name I can’t recall right now, that did ACW foot soldiers in hard plastic kit form. Maybe Dragon?? I think that they were out in the ’90’s maybe.
Anyone have both and know if they are compatible?

Greg, Erwin, Bill, thanks for positive reactions from you “Old Pros”!!
Finished another batch of 6 = 13 total Indian CSA Troops. Texted new pics to my accomplice, Erwin, for formatting. That’s it for now; I’ve run out of junk figures to cut up and out of room in my display cases. My “battlefields” are looking more like NYC rush hour! Have more ideas, but not for a little while.
Bill, I like the MB kits enough to have bought triples, modifying the horses for Wild West and using the soldiers with Marx falling horse copies and Charben bucking and rearing recast horses. Takes a little patience to build them with tiny parts like two separate ears each horse, but glad I discovered them. You can actually put thread reins through the bits, “sewing” it through with a needle. The kits are 1/35, but they work good enough for me with 1/32.

    Hi Andy
Great conversions & a wonderful subject matter. You can have a lot of fun & creativity with them. I have a few spare Britain’s horses you can have. Please send you contact information to Paul to set up a link.
