Marx Giant Castle Fort Super Deluxe Playset 6666HK Billy Hill put this set together. It was his idea of a Marx playset gone wild. As you can see Billy used several different castle sets to make this display. Can you imagine the battles you could have?

My first thought was that something like that deserves a permanent set-up. But I suppose any base that large would make it too difficult to ever move. But it’s very impressive.

It need a lot of attackers to take it ,but because so low walls ,also need a lot of defenders too I guess. Where is every body!!!??-Soldiers/knights!!??
The way is set up I will like more as palace style that actual castle in my opinion.
It too resemble a lot British wood early toy castle styles made in early 1900 layout .I like Marx art litho but their low walls always annoy me. Ironical is my only Marx playset from childhood from my Dad
They did the high wall version that was a better update and is nice depicted here in center with the water around playmat.

BEAUTIFUL! I love it! Yeah, like Erwin said, it’s more of a palace than a castle, but that doesn’t ruin the fun! You need about another 150 men at arms for it now….and about 600 attackers to pose a threat to it.
Nice set-up! Like Erwin said, I also like the tin litho art but don’t like the short walls and fanciful turrets on the towers. I like the overall set up though.
Just curious but with today’s printing technology, could tin litho style buildings/castles be printed out in realistic matte style art on plastic?
Yes Tom. It could well be done .Specially using too laser printing as well.
In another view I do not thing is profit x market unless you willing spend on printing and material.
Simple spray screen over images using any art design mold from crafts store will do same work effect on any plastic wall of your choice too.

I always though where Marx original idea of cannon come from in those Robin hood and Medieval castles!?. The cannon looks very ironclad era too!!
I bet they create some action, but as child I always saw very odd .
They could had well design catapult mounted in rotate base instead I think!?
