New Replicants Figures for 2016

We just heard from Steve Weston of Weston’s Toys and our very good friend Peter Evans   on the new Replicants Figures for 2016.

Here is the list

1) 4 brand new smugglers to add to the original set, so total of 8 different – both sets now in stock.

2) 4 all new Battle of Hastings figures.

3) Mediaeval Monk and Nun.

4) Replicants 20th Anniversary figure of a Highwayman (Dick Turpin for all intents and purposes).

As soon as Steve has finished unpacking from the Plastic Warrior show, he will get around to taking some photos of the new figures and post them on his site.

As we get more information we will post it here.

New Replicants Figures for  2016 Update

New Replicants Figures for 2016

Our very good friend Markus Leckscheid has sent us photos of the new Replicants Figures. This photo shows the Highway man and the smugglers. The highway is holding two pistols. The smugglers has four poses.

  1. Smuggler  with lantern and pointing
  2. Smuggler with torch
  3. Smuggler with left leg on keg holding either club or rifle
  4. Smuggler  carrying keg on shoulder.

The second photo shows the medieval monk and nun. Also the four figures for the Battle of Hastings.

The poses are

1.  Battle of Hasting figure firing  long bow

2. Battle of Hasting figure  advancing with sword and shield  Sword out

3. Battle of Hasting figure defending with their spear and  shield

4. Battle of Hasting figure  with long axe  holding it back and ready to strike.

Peter Cole the owner and designer of the Replicants has out done himself this time. As we reported the medieval monk and nun sold out at the show. I am sure Steve Weston of Weston Toy Soldier will have more available shortly on his web site.

Well, these ought to be fun! Right off, the Monk and Nun are of interest to me. Glad they are coming out sooner than 2916! I was wondering what that was about.

  2. ed borris says:

    Greg,

    No patience?

  3. Greg Liska says:

I can wait, 1 or 2 hundred years, but that was almost 1,000. I guess I’m just in a rush.

  4. ed borris says:

    Mortality what a bummer huh?

  5. Andy says:

I think the confusion is that Stengel’s Viet Nam figures will be sent out by 2916?
    Just wondering?????

  6. Andy says:

Sounds like Monk & Nun “SOLD OUT” at show?????
Does that mean no more will be made?

    • erwin says:

Andy I do not think though ,most probably they were sold out of first batch production test. Or maybe sold out as bulk wholesale to few dealers that got there and will sale them after, such SW =Steve Weston of UK who carry Replicants sets all time. He sale at his web site store.
Still Replicants figures and sets are limited run x some times and if figures have high demand after sold out, they redo againr ,but not in all cases. This is as far I know off.

    • Steve Weston says:

      Andy,
WE sold out of virtually all of the first production of the new figures, with exception of the 2nd. smugglers set, as he produced more of these.
He is beavering away making more of the Monk & Nun, the Highwayman and the for Medieval figures. I should get them around mid-June.
There is an ongoing battle to make and produce new figures and keep up with re-orders for existing lines.
They will appear on my site as soon as we get them in stock.
Some older figures get deleted due to either poor sales or mold wear. The molds are never expected to last more than several hundred ‘shots’, but some have lasted over several 1,000, which is amazing. Others, meanwhile, have simply fallen apart under the pressure of injection.

      • Andy says:

Thanks, Steve. MAKE MORE STUFF!!!!!! Weston & Reps figures are THE BEST!! Need more dead horses in variety of colors. How’s “Merry Old”?? Guessing you won’t be reading Sir Paul’s new bio, but maybe someone will do something on Sir Mick soon?? 🙂 (Will e-mail you with an order.)

  7. Andy says:

Only new Replicants listed so far today on Weston’s site are 1st & new 2nd set of smugglers. Hope there are others pending. Interested in highwayman figure. No photos of smugglers yet.

  8. TDBarnecut says:

Just curious but has the ‘Replicants’ maker ever written or explained the process for making their figures?

    • Steve Weston says:

yes, in a back issue of Plastic Warrior Magazine (contact Editor Paul Morehead for a copy, if still available).
I have seen the hand-operated machine that he uses to individually inject each single-figure mold – it’s antiquated and can easily cause a hernia – as Peter has already found out!

  9. Don Perkins says:

At the Indiana show a couple of years back, John Stengel Jr. said the Replicant’s owner obtained a second hand injection molding machine, which is now used to produce all Replicant figures.

  10. Don Perkins says:

By “second hand” I meant a “previously owned” injection molding machine.
