I recently made some model fences and wanted to share some photos of them. ACW and Rev war buffs will recognize this type of fencing right away. First off I should say that I’ve always wanted some of this fencing to go with my figures, but nobody has ever made them so I’m making them myself. My model is based on actual fence designs and photos so is fairly realistic. Each section is about 5 inches long and a bit over 2 inches tall. I carved the pieces from 3/16 inch hardwood dowel, then glued them with white glue and doweled them together with short pieces of wire from paper clips to strengthen the joints. You can see from the photos that each section is made up of 2 cross pieces (called a buck) and two long rails. They slip together end to end to make the complete fence. I would welcome any comments or input from your readers. These are ‘proof of concept’ prototypes for the fence pieces I plan to produce in plastic

Let us here your thoughts on this project?
