You Never Know

001

A neighbor across the street had a yard sale and I had to go over see what she had. I have been doing poorly this year at yard sales in finding items.  Still you have to go as you never know. I walked over when yard sale started and found two items. The item on the right is a gazebo that was sold in Dollar Tree, I paid a quarter for it. I will put it with some civilians  and sell it on Ebay. The other is a resin Lincoln that is sold in gift shops.  I will keep that.

As you probably already know, Honest Abe there comes from a rather extensive range of figures sold in tourist sites like the US National hisoric parks, etc. Although I live in Canada, I bought some when visiting in Baltimore, Boston and Perryville, KY. They are mostly single boxed figures (as shown in photo) and include Revolutionary soldiers on both sides as well. I have acquired about 25 different figures thus far. I also have a horse drawn caisson and artillery for the Civil war armies. They are not usually as cheap as a dollar but are quite inexpensive when new as well, around $3-$3.50 new. Sailors, and obviously politicians, were also included. I thought they were metal but may stand corrected.
