Even Lido Got Copied

045

Here is a copy of the Lido Arab standing firing rifle. The figure is larger than the regular Lido Figure and stands 2 1/4″ tall There is a tag on the figure that states it was made in El Salvador in 1981. On the other side of the tag it states Foreign Legion so very likely there are other poses. I could have gotten it years ago at Plastic Warrior show. It is the only one I have every seen.

this ebayer seller on eBay has several mold from mpc/else copied and cloned by BASA from Peru in the late 70’s that were also copied and /or sold to other central America and south America toy factories in the 80’s and early 90’s wile Basa size scale is about same as former molds in some cases they increase size of figures by few mm and change some poses. Specially in lido FFL as they uniform was great to be used for the Peruvian/Chilean war

Erwin, you sure are a wealth of knowledge! I’d seen the MPC copies and wondered who would bother, but you solved it.
